So this review is about the second shade from Loreal’s rouge caresse lipstick range, called dating coral. Unlike the previous shade I reviewed which had great pigmentation; this one is true to the theme of this range by being sheer. Read on to know more.

About Loreal Paris Rouge Caresse Lipstick:
The Rouge Caresse lipstick has a flutter of kissable, soft, colour. Its delicate texture glides onto lips creating a veil of colour with a luminous shine. It adds a desired pop of color with a meltingly soft application.
The lipstick contains light oils, crystalline wax, transparent blenders and pearl pigments that deliver true color with a weight-less comfort.
My experience with Loreal Paris Rouge Caresse Lipstick Dating Coral:
This has been packaged in as beautiful a body as loreal’s higher range lipsticks. They have a classy look in my opinion. The brands logo is highlighted nicely in the transparent glass like packaging. They have an almost flat bullet which is again as per my liking.
The texture is the main feature of these lipsticks. They are very well moisturising balm sheer lipsticks. The color you see in the bullet is reciprocated on the lips but in a sheer form. These are a delight for people who have dry lips like me. I like swiping them to and fro on my lips and I enjoy how my lips feel- buttery smooth.
This shade is a really sheer peachy coral color. I loved it seeing on the bullet but the pigmentation is really low as compared to that. I could have compared it to Mac see sheer if the pigmentation was better. Never the less it is a pretty shade and would be loved by college going girls who want just a little amount of color on their lips. Bright shade lovers might not like it. You cannot really build up color as I said it is not so pigmented. I still like it for some occasions when I want a very subtle and simple look. There are always days when you want to have your face just as it is with a little pop of color and this would come handy on such days.
The staying power, as expected from a sheer creamy lipstick is low. It stays for hardly 2-3 hours. If you do not mind reapplication; you may go for it.
There is no shimmer found in these lipsticks. They have a different kind of smell associated with them; I did not develop any fondness for the same though. I prefer my lipsticks to be completely odourless.
I like the fact that they have kept the pricing to be normal unlike other lipsticks from the brand; this shade is a little more than a balm anyway.
Overall, if you like wearing minimal color in a balmy texture then you should try this range. The color is pretty. If you are either complete balm or complete lip color kind of person, then you might not like this.
What I like in Loreal Paris Rouge Caresse Lipstick Dating Coral:
- Pretty light peachy coral shade.
- Classy packaging.
- Sheer lipstick that adds not too much of color to your lips.
- Balmy hydrating texture that is a delight for dry lips.
- Decent pricing.
What I do not like in Loreal Paris Rouge Caresse Lipstick Dating Coral:
- Low staying power
- The color in this one is just a little more than what you get in balms. So may not interest girls who like full color lipsticks.
Until next time, take care!
