I have a stunning bright fuchsia pink lip liner to share with you today, goes well with so many Bright Fuchsia lipsticks but the texture is quite disappointing for someone with super dry lips.
Size – 1.45 gm, Price – 1100/- INR, Available at MAC stores across India
Shade – Embrace Me is described as Vivid Pinkish Fuchsia; it is cool toned blue based bright fuchsia pink shade with matte finish to it. I have a weakness for Fuchsia Pink shades and you may have seen some reviews as well, if they are super creamy I make sure to use a lip pencil underneath and this comes very handy if I want my lips to stay good for hrs.
Texture – I completely adore MAC Lip liners texture but they do have some duds, it’s not a complete bad product but this particular shade lacks the softness and creamy texture MAC lip liner are famous for. It is not that soft and does tug and pull my lips , I always keeps my lips moisturised so at times it’s not an issue but if they are not well conditioned it is pain to use this lip liner .
Pigmentation – It is decently pigmented but did require a lot of layering to get opaque finish. I have layered this back and forth quite a few times in pictures below.
Staying power – Once it’s on it stays good for 5 plus hrs and if worn with lipstick it extends the wear time of lipstick for another few hrs. I love this to pair with blue toned fuchsia pink shades like – MAC GIRL ABOUT TOWN: you can see that in lip swatch below.
What I like about MAC Lip Pencil in Embrace Me:
- I love the bright and bold cool toned Fuchsia Pink shade – super matte.
- The staying power is great.
- The size of the pencil is good and it is value for money.
What I don’t like about MAC Lip Pencil in Embrace Me:
- The texture is not smooth like other MAC lip pencils.
- It needs a lot of layering to get even finish with this shade.
I really like the shade to be honest but its texture is nothing like MAC CHERRY or BEET or some other shades from MAC’s permanent line which are so creamy and easy to layer . If you wear a lot of fuchsia pink lipstick then this might interest you provided you don’t have very dry lips.
