Hope you all are enjoying the pleasant weather these days due to the frequent showers at your places. I have this lovely blush to review today from bourjois, I have used their powder blushes before and was quite happy with them. I have just started experimenting with cream blushes this one being my second one after NYX cream blush and so far I am liking it a lot.
About Bourjois Cream Blush:
For the first time in 150 years Bourjois reinvents its iconic Little Round Pot blush! Drum Roll….
Cream Blush uses an innovative new cream-to-powder technology that blends onto your cheeks effortlessly for a fresh and natural complexion.
Its silky smooth formula gives a second-skin feel and natural glow that lasts day long!
And it’s good for my skin:
– Poppy extracts provide second-skin comfort feel
– Mango butter extracts leave your skin feeling super soft
– Apricot extracts enhance your healthy glow
Price: Around 8 Euros for 2.5 grams. You may also get it from flipkart here.
Packaging: The packaging is really compact and cute which shuts well and is perfect for travelling, it is smaller and even slimmer than their regular round pot blushes, there is a tiny mirror attached which good for touch ups on the go. The outer packaging replicates the shade of each blush in this case it is nude peach.
My Take on Bourjois Cream Blush 01 Nude Velvet:
There are four shades available, today I am reviewing the lightest one in nude velvet. This shade is a beautiful nude peach color with a matte finish. The color is on the pale side and will be very flattering on light to medium skin tones, on darker skin tones it might not show up well even after layering the darker shades would be a better option to go with in that case. I love neutral warm blushes for everyday wear and this one is perfect .Because the color is on the lighter side, I need to layer it twice to show up in its full intensity. It gives a nice wash of color to the cheeks looking extremely natural. If you have extremely light skin tone then it will appear slightly more orange on you. I love the fact that this color is buildable not intensely pigmented hence chances of going over the top are less.
The texture is smooth and creamy and very easy to blend. It is not overly greasy and has no stickiness to it and has a soft matte finish after application which looks just like skin! It does not look patchy and blends in seamlessly. These blushes have cream to powder finish hence you do not get a very dewy look with it, especially this particular shade since it has a matte finish, which will be a good thing for oily skinned beauties and summer months. For application fingers as well as a stipple brush both work equally well. It has a decent staying power of around 6 hours on my combination skin which is good since it is a lighter shade.
What I like about Bourjois Cream Blush 01 Nude Velvet:
- Sleek and travel friendly packaging
- Comes with a mirror attached
- Blends easily with fingers or a brush
- Suitable for all skin types
- Decent staying power for a cream blush
- It is nicely pigmented and easy to work with
- The color is perfect for everyday wear for light to medium skin tones
What I don’t like about Bourjois Cream Blush 01 Nude Velvet:
- Not yet available in India
- This shade has more of a matte finish, for those looking for a dewy finish this is not for you
- The color needs layering to show up well
- This shade may not work well for darker skin tones.
This particular shade is perfect for everyday wear and the matte finish makes it a good option for oily skinned girls as well unlike other cream blushes, if you have light to medium skin tone then I definitely recommend this color.
Wise She Rating: 4/5
