Hey all beauty geeks!!! I love trying out new foundation/makeup bases. Though I have found my HG foundation and concealer (took so long), but I still lookout for something that I can use on daily basis. I do not want to spend lot of time doing daily makeup. So I wanted something which gives a medium coverage and is easily blend-able. I tired couple of BB creams but was not satisfied with the coverage. I spotted the Covergirl Clean Whipped Creme foundation in CVS and thought of trying it out. I love the Revlon Colorstay foundation but it feels heavy on my skin. So, I picked up this foundation with lot of expectations. Let us find out did it fulfill my wish.

My Experience with Covergirl Clean Whipped Creme Foundation in Medium Beige:
Covergirl Clean Whipped Creme Foundation is available in 10 shades I picked up the medium beige. Upon reaching home and swatching it, I realized that it was a shade lighter than my skin tone. Disappointed. However, I still tried it to test the foundation so that if I like it, I can buy a darker shade. The interesting part is that the foundation oxidized and adjusted to my skin tone in an hour or so. Wow, talk about being lucky.
After the initial hurdle of shade mismatch crossed, I started testing it more. The foundation is very light and extremely smooth. Goes on perfectly and has a medium coverage. In fact, it is a better version of tinted moisturizer. It does not look dry or patchy and gives a very natural look to the skin. But, I noticed after every 3-4 hours, I started feeling irritation on my face and then after about three days of daily use, I broke out. Not much but still noticeable. I freaked out. You all know about my struggle with acne and how I have finally got rid of it. I just could not afford to slip up and get the breakouts back. So, I decided not to use it further.
Texture: The foundation has probably the best texture I have seen in a foundation. It is creamy and still very light and fluffy. Goes on smoothly and even blends well. I got good application even with my fingers. And it looks very natural as well. The finish lies somewhere between matte and little dewy. Should suit combination skin to the T.
Pigmentation: The foundation has a medium coverage. If you set it with powder foundation, you will almost get a full coverage. You can always build it up for more coverage. May look cakey if applied more and not blended well.
Staying Power: Stays for an average 4-5 hours. Would have preferred more staying power.
Packaging: The foundation comes in a small white plastic tub. You have to use your fingers or a spatula to dig out the foundation. The tub is light and sturdy.
What I love about Covergirl Clean Whipped Creme Foundation in Medium Beige:
- Very light and fluffy texture.
- Feels creamy and hydrating on the face.
- Blends easily.
- Gives a velvety feel to the skin.
- Controls oil very well.
- Medium coverage.
- Can be used as a tinted moisturizer.
- Travel friendly packaging.
What I do not love about Covergirl Clean Whipped Creme Foundation in Medium Beige:
- Irritated my skin.
- Does not stay super long.
- Can look cakey when layered and not blended properly.
- Oxidizes a bit, so pick up one shade lighter.
- Unhygienic packaging.
- Unavailability in India.
I loved this foundation for its extremely light texture and a natural feel to the skin. This could have replaced my daily foundation if it did not break me out. I could be an exception as well. If you do not have a sensitive or oily skin, you can definitely try this out.
