I was thrilled to see Maitri’s post on collective MAC Lip liners and was feeling little guilty at the same time ; its addiction and there is no cure for that . While I am shifting from GOTH shades to more neutral toned shades from next week here is last shade to share with you – NIGHTMOTH.
Size – 1.45 gm, Price – 1100 /- INR, Available at MAC stores across India
My experience with MAC Nightmoth Lip Liner :
Shade – MAC NIGHTMOTH is described as blackened plum, true to its name it is deep dark shade of burgundy wine with brown undertones to it. Where this colour is famous for its pairing with MAC REBEL Lipstick, I have used it with RUBY WOO for that perfect Burgundy lips – PERFECT for Fall.
Texture – It has very nice easy to glide texture and it doesn’t tug or pull my lips, the pencil is soft and you can see that in pictures too; looks moist and glides like butter.
Pigmentation – It is gorgeously pigmented and needs very light layering , covers every bit of corners with ease , even if you outline your lips with this lip pencil and smudge it , the lips are coated with colour nicely and can be worn as tint .
Staying power – I get some 5 plus hrs of wear with this and if worn with lipstick it extends the wear time ; with RUBY WOO it stayed for somewhere around 8 hrs plus.
What I like about MAC Lip liner Nightmoth:
- I love this as a base for deep dark shades which tend to bleed due to creamy texture.
- The creamy easy to glide texture is absolute breeze to apply.
- They are certainly value for money as the size is good and doesn’t need frequent sharpening.
What I don’t like about MAC lip Liner Nightmoth:
- All said and done; the colour is not easy to use on daily basis.
- The liner needs your lips in good condition else it will enhance the flaws.
I like the shade but it is not easy to incorporate and hence not a must have shade; I picked this for lipsticks like REBEL but it can be skipped easily. You don’t need so many plum berry shades but with me it’s pure addiction and hence I have Burgundy, Currant, Vino and this.
Have you tried MAC Nightmoth Lip Liner ?
