Hey everyone, how are you doing? Well this is my liquid lipstick phase. If you are aware of my Europe haul then you must be knowing that I bought 4 liquid lipsticks . I have been really busy these days with all the other college related stuff that’s why a little late in my reviews. Finally I am doing this , so here’s presenting Suedeberry from the famous Lime Crime Velvetines. (*No, this ain’t a TV Ad *)
Price: 13.50 GBP
About Lime Crime Velvetine :
Ground-breaking formula that goes on liquid and dries completely matte. Touch-proof, transfer-proof, long-wearing and utterly addictive!
Packaging: The outer box is sooooo cute. It has pretty animated roses printed all over which is way better than the old *blah* packaging which I felt was all over the place. The roses somehow indicate me of the pretty color inside. *blush*
The tube is quite sturdy and you can easily see how much of the product is left. It has a doe-foot applicator, which is also improved by LimeCrime. It is travel friendly and you can just throw it in your bag and walk away, hurray!
My Experience with Lime Crime Velvetine Suedeberry:
Honestly those hell lot of praises and the hullaballoo in the blogosphere made me buy this one. Now let’s do the postmortem of this lil baby
Shade: I love rosy reds and I thought this will be perfect for me. It is described as a strawberry red by LimeCrime and it looks exactly so on my NC37 neutral skin tone. When I first applied it I was shocked, it looked like as if I painted my lips with some *bhadkila* shade of Asian paint but once it settled I was more than happy with the shade.
Texture: It is very liquidy but looks like a thick paste initially when one applies it but, after a few minutes it settles into a very beautiful matte finish, I felt like I am not wearing anything on my lips. The texture is commendable as it doesn’t accentuates fine lines and dryness. If your lips are already dry then your lips will appear as if they have cracks. It is also very tricky to apply due to the texture.
Pigmentation: Insanely pigmented! Opaque coverage in just one swipe, though you’ll need two to spread it evenly. Even black lips will appear red hot with this one
STAYING POWER- It lasted all day long on me but it tends to go away if along with the dried lip skin when I tested it without moisturizing my lips. Otherwise with moisturized lips you’ll have to remove it with a makeup remover yourself.
The last thing I would like to mention is it smells weird, I mean like very weird but thankfully it fades away after application.
What I like about Lime Crime Velvetine Suedeberry
- Awesome strawberry red color.
- Cute packaging.
- Pure matte finish.
- Not drying.
- Opaque coverage.
- No tugging or pulling while applying.
- Great doe foot applicator.
- Doesn’t bleeds or feathers.
- Ever lasting.
What I Don’t Like about Lime Crime Velvetine Suedeberry
- Tricky to apply but you can master it after trying a few times.
- Absolutely not meant for people with dry lips.
Do I recommend this Product? It is highly recommended from my side if you don’t have extremely dry lips. What I suggest is that before applying this, moisturize your lips properly and scrub off the dead skin. It is an absolutely gorgeous color and the finish is to die for! I am loving my Velvetine.
My Rating: 5/5
