Hello my lovely ladies,
Today I am back with another post for the “BLAST FROM PAST” series. It is eyeshadow quad from CoverGirl named “Natural Nudes”.
About CoverGirl Natural Nudes Eye Shadow Quad:
This collection of great shades is hand-picked by our make-up pros and designed to make your eye look go from day to night. They blend effortlessly to bring your eyes out beautifully, without overshadowing. Experiment using them together or as single shades.
Price: Around 6$
My experience with CoverGirl Natural Nudes Eye Shadow Quad :
Packaging: Cute and compact white pallet with a transparent lid. Nothing fancy, just simple, nice and handy. It has a dual-ended sponge applicator of decent quality. Easy to carry along with carried them on my purse.
Shades: It has four shades. The colors in this quad are perfect if you want a simple, natural, fresh look.
The first one from the left is a cream shade with a very pretty peach flash to it, as well as iridescent glitter. Second one is a shimmery champagne. Third one is a shimmery burnt taupe. And the fourth one is a soft gold with fine golden shimmers.. The shimmers are visible in the pan but not on eyes. They just add a sheen and brightness to the eye shadows.
They are basic nude shades that look great together.
I apply the lightest shade of this shadow quad all the way from my inner corner to my brow bone. Second lightest shade goes just on the lid, third lightest in the crease and darkest on outer corner and over my liner to seal it. It gives the eye a neutral, smoky look. I have had so many compliments on my eyes doing them in this way.
Perfect for an everyday look.
Texture: They are in powder form, but not at all powdery. They are super soft, smooth and easy to pick up with your brush. I love how the shades go and how easy they are to blend. Just breeze. The shimmers soft and not visible on eyes, except a sheen.
Pigmentation: This is where I am terribly disappointed. It is very poorly pigmented. It just refuses to show up on my skin. The second and fourth shade looks same on me. The shades are sooooo sheer. I have to really swipe and swipe hard and harder to make it somewhat visible. When used wet, it definitely worked better.
Staying power: No creasing or fading for hours and hours! Just a tiny bit of concealer or primer beneath, and the shadows can last really long.
Summing up my “LIKES” and “DISLIKES”:-
What I like about CoverGirl Natural Nudes Eye Shadow Quad :
- Pretty shades for everyday look.
- No chunky shimmers.
- Silky texture.
- Goes smoothly.
- Blends easily.
- No fallouts.
- No creasing.
- No fading.
- Compact packaging.
- A decent applicator.
- Pretty reasonable.
What I don’t like about CoverGirl Natural Nudes Eye Shadow Quad :
- Terrible pigmentation.
- Availability in India.
Final thoughts on CoverGirl Natural Nudes Eye Shadow Quad:
The colors are really pretty, blendable, smooth, and if you are able to get the desired pigmentation, you’ll be surprised at how well the colors coordinated with each other. Perfect for those who are just starting with makeup, want to look a little more polished without a lot of effort, or want light neutrals to add to their collection. While they are not incredibly pigmented, but when used wet, it works great for what I want on daily basis. And this can definitely be your everyday quad.
