Essence Kajal Pencil Feel The Eclipse 21
I am here with a Kajal pencil review which was waiting eagerly to be reviewed since many days. This Kajal pencil is from Essence and the shade name is Feel The Eclipse 21.
I have previously used Lakme Eyeconic Kajal, Maybelline Colossal Kajal in black and turquise but by far I have liked Lakme Eyeconic the most due to the non-smudging formulation. This time I wanted to pick another kajal pencil cum liner as I had only the Faces Pencil Eyeliner in Turquiose, so I picked up this one. Read on to know how this purchase ended up for me!

Packaging- Prior to this Kajal I have also used on lip liner pencil from Essence which is reviewed here. It has a white cap along with it. There is no sharpener provided so I use a separate one.
Shade & Texture- The shade name is Feel The Eclipse 21 and it is very dark navy blue shade which appears black alone but when swatched with other black liners gives the true shade.
The texture of this pencil eye liner is very very creamy! When I say very creamy it means it is damn creamy that with the slightest pressure, the tip is going to be pressed like anything. I feel the lip liner was less creamy than the kajal.
My Experience with Essence Kajal Pencil Feel The Eclipse 21
Well, my experience has not been good and I think it was not a good decision to pick this kajal pencil. It is highly pigmented and gives a great stroke of liner on the upper eyelid but only when I apply it with really soft hands. If you are in a hurry, don’t even think of wearing it because it will not be an easy task and if by chance it gets smudged due to the slightest shaking of hand, it is going to be tough removing it, as it cannot be removed without an eye makeup remover.
The creamy texture makes it glide smoothly over primed eyelids but you need to be very careful while applying.
As I mentioned earlier, the creamy texture is suitable to apply on the eyes but it easily transfers and is not at all smudge-proof which further makes it a bad purchase.
I love the Faces Pencil Eye Liner in Turquoise much more than this. Nowadays am really pissed off with this kajal pencil as I need to sharpen it so many times to get a sharp tip. Without a sharp tip, applying this kajal pencil would be equal to making a clown of yourself! Believe me!
I tried it once on the waterline and never dared to do it again as I was looking so horrible! At least, Lakme eyeconic makes me look a little decent with makeup!
Here is how it looks on me when applied carefully!
What I like about Essence Kajal Pencil Feel The Eclipse 21?
- With soft efforts it is decent looking average kajal on the upper lids!
- Creamy & intense shade
What I don’t like about Essence Kajal Pencil Feel The Eclipse 21?
- Easily smudges
- The tips keeps breaking without any reason
- Looks horrible on waterline
- Requires ample time to carefully apply it
Will I recommend?- Certainly Not! Stay as much away as possible!
