Today I am here with a new launch , l’Oreal recently launched this unique foundation with a different formula and the whole liquid powder concept sounded really interesting and hence I was eager to try it, also since I have tried their foundations in the past and they fared very well for me, so let us have a look at this one.
About L’Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder:
Discover the Un-makeup Look, No Flaws, and No Makeup Feel! Magic Nude is our 1st revolutionary liquid-powder formula that glides on and transforms to a fresh, powder-like finish. It’s so light, like you’re wearing no makeup at all!
Just shake and apply — it’s MAGIC!
Price: INR 899 for 27ml.
Packaging: The foundation comes in a small rectangular glass bottle with a twist up cap, the packaging is definitely unique but not the best! Since the glass bottle can break easily with a single drop which also makes it not at all travel friendly, also there is no pump dispenser which can easily cause product wastage while pouring.
My take on L’Oreal Paris Magic Nude Liquid Powder:
The foundation is available in six shades in India, which is decent and I have the third shade 320 Natural Beige which has great amount of yellow undertones and suits my medium skin tone perfectly. The foundation has extremely runny consistency and I have to be really careful while pouring it. But once you spread and apply it almost turns into powder and sets quickly to a semi matte finish. It feels absolutely weightless on skin and application is so easy with it. As L’Oreal suggest fingers do work best with it and I can literally apply it within a minute, yes it blends effortlessly into skin even quickly then a bb cream which makes it a boon for busy days.
My skin is more on the normal side these days when applied on bare skin it does emphasize dry patches slightly, so I like applying a light moisturizer beforehand. Women with Dry skin will definitely need to moisturize skin properly before application. It sets on its own and I did not set it with any powder. Initially it has a semi matte finish which soon settles down to natural skin like finish. As the day passes my skin did look a bit shiny and oily in the t zone, but a dab of powder immediately took care of it. Although for those who have oily skin, it would be great to set with a light layer of powder to prevent getting a shiny and oily look later on.
Like L’Oreal describes it as a foundation for no makeup look, it has light to medium coverage. One layer evens out the skin but does not completely cover any imperfections for which a concealer cannot be skipped. It is buildable and with second layer I got good medium coverage. But if you are looking for a heavy coverage foundation then this is not be for you. It stays for around 6 hours on my skin when used alone before it starts fading, but I doubt if it will last for this long in summers as well when my skin gets oily. So the staying power is not very impressive, but a primer underneath definitely helps to some extent.
In all it makes a great foundation for everyday wear and I love the way it blends so quickly and feels as if I am not wearing anything, I have been reaching for this foundation almost every day ever since I bought it and it has definitely become my go to base product these days, although I wish it had better staying power!
