Hope you all doing great. I am super happy today as I am recovering and today I could finally apply makeup after months. But the best part is my beloved Santa, who helped me recover with her beautiful gifts. Yes Anamika, your gifts were like medicines for the ailing me.
These products have not been covered previously on Wiseshe and we are covering all these products now in our new series, “BLAST FROM THE PAST”.
So, today I’ll be reviewing an eye shadow which is one of the many gifts I got from my Santa. It is L’Oreal Paris Studio Secrets Professional Eye Shadow Singles in Spring leaf.

Price:- 4.48$ for 0.1 ounce; 1016 INR in Amazon.com
Packaging:- The previous “Spring Leaf” which L’Oreal had, was mint green in color which came in a cream colored square packaging. But now L’Oreal has reformulated the packaging, and I am sooo happy with the new one. It is a black case with a transparent plastic strip on the lid to see the color within and the lid shuts perfectly. Cute, sturdy and goes easily in the smallest vanities. It even has a sponge applicator of decent quality.
Shade:- An utterly gorgeous forest green with minute shimmers. It has tiny golden shimmers to give that illuminating effect. I am totally in love with the shade. I use for all-over color on lid or blend in other shades for a more dramatically contoured look. I have once applied it as eyeliner too, by just damping my fine brush a little and rolling on the eye shadow. Angled brush works well too. It gives a precise stroke of soft green liner. One can use it on lower lash line too. Green is a very versatile shade, experiment to know what suits you best.
Texture:- Soft and it blends easily and beautifully. It blends like butter with other shades too. It has got one of those impressive smooth textures of high eye brands, but at such a low price.
Pigmentation:- It doesn’t show much with one swipe, but with 2 or more it comes out incredibly.
Staying Power:- Awesome staying power of 7+ hours. It stays on without any creasing or fading. Truly impressive.
Summing up my Likes and Dislikes:-

- A striking forest green.
- No chunky shimmers. They just add a pretty golden sheen.
- Soft texture.
- Blends easily.
- Doesn’t crease.
- No fall outs.
- Wears really long.
- Flattering on brown eyes.
- Compact packaging.
- Reasonable (Outside India )
What I Don’t like about L’Oreal Paris Studio Secrets Professional Eye Shadow Singles in Spring Leaf:
- Costly for a single eye shadow pan (In India )
- Availability in India.
Final thoughts (Recommendation/Repurchase):-
This is one green that will add a punch to your soft daytime look and will also add glamour to your sexy night look. The golden shimmers are really soft and just add to the beauty of it. The texture is also to die for. Long-wearing, crease proof and easily bendable too. As per pigmentation, I don’t mind building up a little more. I have brown eyes and this shade brings them out beautifully. It is aesthetically pleasing and I am totally in love with it.
I would love to buy once I finish this pan and would definitely recommend this to all. Pair it with blues, greens, pinks, purples, blacks and browns; wear it on all over lid, on crease, on inner corners or just as eyeliner. Very versatile and can add a pop of color to make any eye noticeable.
(I know the makeup is stark, but felt doing a little more today. And excuse my brows. “Eyebrow plucking” is strictly prohibited unless I completely get rid of my eye infections. )
