I am really glad that you liked my review for Shiseido Bronzer which was almost matte looking bronzer. The shade I am sharing today is on opposite side of the pole – a shimmer overload bronzer which can be used on eyes, cheeks and on body too – the balm Betty Lou manizer.

About TheBalm Betty – Lou Manizer:
Fake it, don’t bake it! Before you head out to relish some well deserved sun, score a faux, sun-kissed glow with the Balm’s Betty-Lou Manizer. Betty-Lou is a silky smooth, all-in-one bronzing highlighter, shimmer and shadow.
Shade – According to its description it is warm toned shimmery bronze shade with find golden bronze sheen to it. The sheen shimmer is super fine and is more visible when light hits, it adds that luminous glow without being too heavy or orange looking on my skin tone. I use this on my cheek bone as a subtle highlighter and on my eyes at times when I don’t have something handy. This pairs really well with any blush and blends in the skin.
Texture and Staying power – The texture is super fine and is very creamy, you definitely need a light hand to dust this as it may look over the top if used with heavy hand. I have applied this with fan brush here. I get 7 to 8 hrs of wear and it looks polished and fresh on my oily skin without looking patchy or uneven.
Pigmentation – Like all the balm cheek products this one is also nicely pigmented and is visible in one single swipe. In pictures here , I have used this on eyes as well with flat brush like MAC 239 and on cheek bones with a fan brush. You can see pictures – before and after and also with blush. It blends well and the whole look comes together so nicely when you use blush – the soft golden glow is hard to ignore .
Packaging – It is housed in round plastic compact with good size mirror and no brush. We all love The Balm vintage looking packaging, don’t we?

What I like about TheBalm Betty – Lou Manizer:
- The staying power is good.
- The shade is beautiful on our olive skin tone.
- The shimmer is fine and adds that sun kissed glow.
- The texture is super fine and easy to blend.
- The packaging is great.
What I don’t like TheBalm Betty – Lou Manizer:
- It may look little too orange on fair skin tone girls.
Ratings – 4.5 /5
Recommendations – This is nice shimmery bronze shade which is great as highlighter on our olive skin tone; on fair skin tone it may be too orange. I like to pair it with matte blush or bronzer to add that instant shine which is not over the top. The compact is going to last me ages even if used regularly.
