Ok. Today I will be talking about lip glosses. I have never liked it or ever bought it myself because I find them super uncomfortable to wear and that extra stickiness adds to my woe. The limited amount of lip glosses that I have is all gifted and they just end up lying in my stash forever unused.
But there are many pretties who love gloss and one of them happens to be my very own sister. She is literally fanatic about lip-glosses and has tons of them in every shade possible.
My review on today’s post is one particular shade from her overflowing stash, which happens to be her favorite, and it is the MAC Dazzleglass in the shade Roman holiday.

My take on MAC Dazzle Glass Roman Holiday:
Mac Dazzleglass comes in a typical cylindrical lip-gloss tube with an applicator wand attached to a black colored handle. Since it is a transparent tube, the color is visible and it is easier to find when one has to go through a crazy vanity stash. Coming to the shade, Roman Holiday is a gorgeous bronze peach color. This shade has tons and tons of fuchsia and violet shimmers in it.
I usually don’t like shimmers in lip products but the glitters work very well on this particular shade. This gloss looks beautiful when worn alone. It can also be layered over any nude or pink lip color for that glass effect. This is such a pretty shade that I myself am going gaga over it.
The texture is creamy and glides smoothly. But I don’t think it would cover up very pigmented lips since the color is not that intense but at the same time, it is not sheer as well. It looks highly pigmented on my hand swatch but it looks a little sheer on the lip swatch.
The only downfall about Dazzleglass is the thick sticky consistency no matter what Mac claims about it being non sticky.
Fragrance: Like all mac lipsticks, it has a vanilla smell and that is one thing that I really love about MAC. Funky smelling lipsticks are a big no no for me no matter how pretty the shade looks.
Staying power: Since it has a thick texture, it tends to last longer than any typical glosses in the market.
What I like about MAC Dazzle Glass Roman Holiday:
- Beautiful shade
- Super glossy look
- Decent pigmentation
- Classy packaging
- Long wearing
- Glides smoothly
- Vanilla aroma
What I don’t like about MAC Dazzle Glass Roman Holiday:
Rating: 4.2/5 (minus points for the stickiness)
