A mascara is the key to good eye makeup. A product that lengthens lashes and adds a fuller and dramatic look to one’s eyes. I like them a lot but don’t use it often though. I do own a couple of them for special occasion. So yes, I’ll talking about mascara today and it is the Shiseido Perfect Mascara Defining Volume in the shade BK901 Black.

My take on Shiseido Perfect Mascara Defining Volume BK901 Black:
The Shiseido Perfect Mascaras come in a typical black tube with the applicator wand attached to it. Nothing is that appealing or interesting about the packaging. The tube is made out of plastic making it easy to carry around on the go. These mascaras come in two shades. One in BK901 Black, which I’m reviewing now, and the other is the BR602 Brown. The brown color doesn’t show up much on Indian skin tones unless you are very fair. I opted for the black one instead.
This mascara is quite decent, fairly defines and lengthens my lashes to some extent. It doesn’t add much volume though as compared to my favorite mascara which is the L’Oreal Volume Million Lashes. But it is very moisturizing so while taking off the product, I use a good makeup remover as water doesn’t work and I end up looking like a koala bear after removal.
Pigmentation: Great opacity as seen on the hand swatch as well. Provides a clean look making my lashes look darker.
Texture: It is smudge free and not clumpy. Clumpy ones tend to get gooey and create spidery lashes, which is not appealing.
Staying power: It last as long as you want it to. Yes, it is that good. A good remover is required while taking it off.
Tip: If you have any clumpy or dried up mascaras that has not reached their expiry date, you can renew it again by adding a couple of eye drops in the tube. Voila! Your mascara is good as new again!
