I have been running out of my rose water cleanser and I did not know what to buy for removing light make up I wear. I usually need something that suits my dry skin, I have one bottle of lakme cleansing milk kept with me in my stuff which I got from India. However, I needed some astringent like feel on the cotton pad to wipe my face clean. I came across this 2-1 make up remover from Garnier.
Let me tell you how this one fares:
About Garnier Simply Essentials 2 in 1 Make-up Remover:
Price: £2 for 200 ml
The gentle way to remove make-up, Garnier Simply Essentials 2-in-1 make-up remover combines make-up removing oils with cleansing water. Kind to sensitive skin, it removes even waterproof mascara, leaving your skin clean and clear with no residue.
My take on Garnier Simply Essentials 2 in 1 Make-up Remover:
I spotted this is at my favourite beauty store and I picked up to see how it works. Two things I love; shopping at ASOS and cleansing my skin at the end of the day. So here it is; I use it daily. Expect nothing but a through cleansed skin. The cleanser is a mix of oil and cleansing water and you have to shake it real hard and then I pour on a cotton pad. Dare you don’t not shake it and use, you will have all oil over your face. L Been there, done that
The bottle has one-third of oil and other half of the liquid. There is no alcohol and no fragrance added to it, which is quite nice. However, I feel that it leaves an oily cast, but anyway I wash my face after using the remover. So there is issue on that.
If you are looking for something that quickly leaves off the mascara, kajal and liner of your eyes, I think this is superb. I usually use basic BB cream and kajal on regular days and it wipes out perfectly, I do not need any rubbing or making my skin go red. It is perfect for my skin.
If however, you have oily skin, I think you may want to skip it, especially if you have acne, do not use anything which is not suggested by your dermatologist.
What I like about Garnier Simply Essentials 2 in 1 Make-Up Remover:
- Gives through cleanse of the traces of make up;
- Shake well to use it,
- Innovative idea to remove make-up,
- Can be used on the eyes and lips,
- Easy to use.
- Reasonably priced.
What I dislike about Garnier Simply Essentials 2 in 1 Make-Up Remover:
- Leaves an oily cast and you would need to wash your face;
- Not suitable for oily and acne prone skin.
- Is not travel friendly, since the product may leak in the bag.
I think I will re-purchase it, since it works well for me.
