Hi all beauty geeks.
Today I am going to review Revlon colorstay shadowlinks eyeshadow in Java. I have bought couple of them 2 months back but I didn’t get time recently to write a review on them. So here I am with the review.
About Revlon Colorstay Shadowlinks Eyeshadow:
Individual, interchangeable eyeshadow links click together to create your own customized palette of possibilities. Available in four fabulous finishes and 30 covetable, collectible shades. Change your look. In a click.
Price– 175 INR for 1.4 gm.
My views with Revlon Shadowlinks Eyeshadow in Java :
Packaging– They come in a plastic rectangular black case with black rimmed transparent upper lid. Packaging is quite nice and classy. Those tiny cases have a side panel which permits one to attach another case with it and so on. In this way you may create your own pallete. Packaging is travel friendly as the lid is tight enough.
Shade and pigmentation– This shadow comes in a brownish color with copper undertone. This is good for night parties and outings. This particular shade has too many shimmers and they tend to travel around the eye after some time of application. Pigmentation is not so intense as one need to swipe 3-4 times to show the color properly. If you have dark circles you would face problems to show intense color. Pigmentation is medium. This color would suit medium to dusky beauties as well nicely.
Texture and staying power– The texture is not so chalky but this particular shade has lots of shimmer in it which I like don’t like about it. shimmers tend to fall and travel around the eyes. The powdery texture of this eye shadow feels soft on lids. But the staying power is lower if used without a primer or base. It stays hardly 2 hours without base but extends staying power 4-5 hours if used with base.
What I like about Revlon Colorstay Shadowlinks Eyeshadow in Java :
- Nice classy packaging
- Very affordable
- Provision for creating your own pallets
- Smooth texture
- Shade is beautiful and flattering
What I don’t like about Revlon Colorstay Shadowlinks Eyeshadow in Java :
- Staying power could have been better
- Too many shimmers are there
- Shimmers tend to start traveling here and there after some time
- It is difficult to get rid of those shimmers as some of them still remain there even after cleaning with a Make up remover.
Final verdict– Overall this is a nice shadow and worth trying at this price range. It is a flattering color but those shimmers are only downside. If you love shimmers you should definitely give it a try.
