I never thought of using liquid eye shadows as for me applying eye make up is a tough job. But I never thought that liquid shadows will be much easier to apply than powder or creamy ones. No hard work needed, no blending needed and even no need of a perfect brush because the applicator does it all.
Price: Around $6
My experience with Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Eyeshadow Paint Rich Russet:
Packaging: It comes in a lip gloss type of a packaging, actually if you show it to anyone, the person will surely assume it as a gloss but will also keep on thinking that how can I use a bronze colored gloss- weird naa!!
Well let me come back to the description of its packaging! It comes in a transparent tube with a black colored cap. The brand name is written with silver and the shade name is written on the cap. The applicator is a spongy brush like which picks the right amount of the product and helps in perfect application.
Shade: It’s a perfect bronze shade though the name is Rich Russet which means dark rich coffee color. I love using this shade as it is appropriate for any occasion. In my EOTD I have applied a dark blue shadow on the outer crease area and dark blue liner just to give a different affect.
Pigmentation, Texture and Staying Power: The pigmentation is superb and over layering is not at all needed.
The texture is just gloss like, nor too watery and nor too tough. It dries quickly after application and no setting time needed. If applied alone, it can be washed out with water.
The staying power is average. It stays as it is till about 2.5 to 3 hours and after that it becomes flaky in some areas.
What I like about Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Eyeshadow Paint Rich Russet:
- Not at all sticky
- No blending needed
- Easily comes out with water if applied alone
- Pigmentation is great
- Can be used alone or clubbed with another shade
- Applicator does its job perfectly
- Dries quickly
- Does not give any heaviness to the lid
What I dont like about Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Eyeshadow Paint Rich Russet:
- Becomes flaky after about 3hours
- Not easily available
- Not waterproof
