Walnuts have a significant amount of omega-3 fatty acids. They are also rich in biotin and vitamin E, which helps protect your cells from DNA damage and help faster growth of hair. Less biotin can lead to hair loss and slower hair growth. Walnuts also have copper, a mineral that helps keep your natural hair color rich and lustrous. So try and involve at least a fistful of walnuts in your daily diet.
Eggs are very popular for their abilities to improve hair health. Eggs are an excellent source of omega-3s fatty acids, and they are also rich in biotin. Eggs are also loaded with four key minerals, i.e. zinc, selenium, sulfur, and iron. Iron helps cells carry oxygen to the hair follicles, and too little iron (anemia) is a major cause of hair loss. But do not forget that it is not the egg white that will make your hair long and beautiful; it is the egg yolk which is going to help. Eating too many egg whites can actually block the absorption of biotin into the body, so try eating egg yolks and avoid egg whites.

If salmon fish is not something that you like, then you can also get essential fatty acids from fishes like herring, sardines, trout, and mackerel. And if you are a vegetarian then you can try getting the same nutrients from avocados, pumpkin seeds, and walnuts.
Sweet potatoes are loaded with anti oxidants, beta carotene, which our body turns into for vitamin A. It not only promotes a healthy scalp but also promotes hair growth.
Carrots, cantaloupe, mangoes, pumpkin, and apricots are all good sources of beta carotene and can be your substitute if you cannot have sweet potatoes.
