My experience with Maybelline ColorShow Lipstick Midnight Pink:
Packaging: The lipstick comes in a shiny black plastic packaging and the cap click shuts firmly. The packaging actually takes you to the days when usually all lipsticks had this black colored rectangular packaging, typical old school types.
The best feature of the packaging of this lipstick is the shiny colored band that shows the color family of the lipstick.
The color coded stickers at the bottom of the lipstick makes it easy to detect the color in your stash
Texture: The lipstick has a very soft, creamy and smooth texture. This lipstick specifically behaved a little different from rest of the lipsticks. It is very creamy in nature so much so that it actually has a little melting issue even in this season, quite weird isn’t it.
Shade: It is a gorgeous magenta shade with very strong hints of pink. It is a perfect blend of a strong magenta and gorgeous pink. It looks very beautiful and will actually work well on all Indian skin tones. I have seen girls with deeper skin tones hesitating to wear pinks but this shade will prove to be your rescuer.
Pigmentation: The shade is decently pigmented; a single swipe gives enough color to cover lip pigmentation.
My Take: I love this beauty. The shade is gorgeous to look great on all type of skin tones.
Pigmentation of this lippy is great as well, just a single swipes gives such vibrant colors to my lips providing opaque coverage.
The texture is super soft and creamy; it is very easily prone to melt. Infact you can see in the picture that the lipstick was almost at the verge to leave the tube’s hold. This was not because of poor attachments, but it happened because it was melting.
The lipstick stays on for 3-4 hours on me which is pretty decent for me and leaves a tint behind. It actually fades off unevenly which I do not like at all.
It is actually a good lippy to have.
