How about a unique purplish color on your pouts today?
Well I know not all have the courage to flaunt that pout, neither do I. But for the review purposes I had to try out this shade and honestly I shade is not as scary as people may think of it.

My experience with Maybelline ColorShow Lipstick Mauve Power:
Packaging: The lipstick comes in a shiny black plastic packaging and the cap click shuts firmly. The packaging actually takes you to the days when usually all lipsticks had this black colored rectangular packaging, typical old school types.
The best feature of the packaging of this lipstick is the shiny colored band that shows the color family of the lipstick.
The color coded stickers at the bottom of the lipstick makes it easy to detect the color in your stash
Texture: The lipstick has a very soft, creamy and smooth texture. It is actually super soft and glides like butter on lips. The lipstick has a finish which is between glossy and creamy.
Shade: It is a creamy deep mauve shade which leans more towards purple. My lip swatches somehow do not show much of its purplish hints, but my hand swatches will show you the exact color here. I guess the color will show up different on different lip colors and that’s because it is not highly pigmented.
Pigmentation: This shade is not insanely pigmented, it has a semi sheer coverage but the color can be built up with multiple swipes so that is not a problem. These lippy do not bleed nor do they give a sticky feel to the lips. They are very light and layering does not bother my lips. But I am worried that too much of layering just might give a streaky look so please settle for two swipes only, it will give enough color intensity and color pay off to cover pigmented lips.
My Take: Before I got this lippy on my lips, I had an inhibition to try such shades, I absolutely never even let the SA swatch such a shade on my hand forget the lips. But trying this lippy totally changed my mind and now I can once in a while think of giving such a shade a shot.
The lipstick has got an amazing texture, which somehow made me fall for it. The lippy lacks pigmentation which can be built up but it may go streaky with many swipes.
Packaging is very old school types & not very attractive, but for 300 bucks I cannot really complain about it.
It stays for 2-3 hours only after which it fades off leaving a tint behind. Overall this is a decent buy for people who have a thing for mauve shades.
