5 Trends To Look Out For In 2015
Every year brings some new trends in fashion and makeup. This year is no exception and we are intently looking forward to lead the In-brigade. Customise these trends to your needs instead of following them blindly and look your best.
The top trends for 2015 will be
Marsala Is The Colour
I’m sure that most of you know that this year’s Pantone colour is Marsala. Marsala is actually a wine but you do not need to drink it up to stay in trend. Last year the colour was Radiant Orchid which was loved by everyone.
Pantone describes Marsala as “a naturally robust and earthy wine red.” As per Pantone- Marsala enriches our mind, body and soul, exuding confidence and stability.
You can incorporate this colour in your makeup. Lip colours and nail paints are easily available in this shade. The colour is meant for every skin tone and even outfits in Marsala colours are gaining popularity. Marsala is highly compatible with amber, umber and golden yellows, greens in both turquoise and teal, and blues in the more vibrant range.
Heavy Contouring Is Gone
As much as you love to contour your face, stay away from going over the top. Contouring gained popularity quite recently and so every girl wanted the most of it. Contouring does two jobs- Sharpening the features and giving a sun-kissed look.
Suddenly everybody was contouring even without knowing the basics. This led to muddy faces everywhere and thankfully girls realized that it is not the way to go. Contouring should only enhance your features and not make you look two-toned and too-tanned. Go easy with that contouring cream/powder and make sure that you do not choose a shade that is too dark. Experts suggest choosing a contour-colour that is no more than 4 shades darker than your natural complexion.
Natural Eyelashes Are In
Gone are the days of thick and heavy lashes. Long and dense falsies became must haves in the stash of makeup lovers but too much of it killed the trend.
Most Indian girls have quite good eyelashes naturally and they do not need heavy falsies. A good mascara should do the job of making your lashes all beautiful and attractive. If you really must wear false-eyelashes, pick ones that look natural and not like a mass of hair trying to shut your eyes.
Say No To Makeup
Natural or no-makeup makeup has been the favourite trend for quite long. Now it has gone to another level where you wear no makeup at all. See any recent fashion show and in most of them you will see bare-faced models. The girls were wearing only moisturiser and that too was not tinted.
Not everyone has the amazing skin to go makeup-free so the idea is to wear a really light base and with your most natural pink lips. Your best pink is the one which resembles the colour of your inner-lip. No need for mascara and kohls. Dewy skin is the flavour of the season and matte finish is not getting love this year. This is the year to look perfect in your own skin and imperfections do not matter.
Another trend that has gained a lot of popularity is parting your hair from centre. Whether you have wavy hair or straight or curly, centre parting is the way to go. Wear centre parting in every possible hairstyle to stay fashionable. You can tie your hair in a bun, a pony, a braid or you just want to leave it open, centre parting will go with every style.
