My experience with Loreal Color Riche Star Collection Pure Reds Lipstick Pure Fire:
Packaging: These lipsticks come in a shiny black colored plastic casing, which has an inner golden cylinder to hold the lipstick bullet. The plastic used is of good quality, which is very shiny and will not catch up scratches early. I totally love the idea of the color coded buttons on the tube which clearly shows the shade of the lipstick, and not to miss the exclusive celebrity signature. I am very much in love with the packaging. Not boring, not over the top, a very sophisticated and classy packaging which is quite similar to the Loreal Moist Matte’s packaging, but I like these more due to the classy black color.
Texture: It has a very soft and smooth texture; it spreads easily on lips without any tugging or pulling. While application it did not at all feel like a matte lipstick but after few minutes it was set to an absolute matte finish.
Shade: Pure Fire is a bright orange shade with red undertones. The shade is very well suited for summers and springs. The shade is very vibrant which will flatter fair to medium complexions, I do not think that deeper skin tones will be able to pull off this shade.
Pigmentation: This is where this lipstick disappoints me. It goes semi sheer in a single swipe and the pigmentation can be built up in 2-3 swipes. But with multiple swipes the lipstick gets patchy in application, and for such a case I tried applying the lipstick with a lip brush. With the lip brush the lipstick was applied more precisely.
My Take: I am liking the new Loreal Color Riche Star Collection Pure Reds Lipsticks quite a lot. The shade PURE FIRE is a bright tangy orange shade which uplifts the dull face and is perfect for perking up the mood. I am more into subtle shades of orange but if you are someone who is an intense orange lippy lover then you just cannot do without this shade in your life.
The vibrant shade with a matte texture is perfect. The lipstick’s texture is quite similar to the textures of the Loreal Moist Matte lipsticks. They are soft & smooth in application and set to an absolute finish. Despite of the matte finish the lipsticks are not drying at all and are light on lips.
The color pay off of the lipstick is not great ad moreover the lippy gets patchy with multi layers. A lipstick brush is what you need to get the color on lips without getting it patchy.
It did not settle in much in my lip lines. I would suggest exfoliating lips before its application, unless you may want to flaunt a flaky orange pout.
The lipstick stays on for 5-6 hours with meals in between. Though after a meal the lipstick will lighten, but not get removed. After it fades off it leaves a very strong stain behind.
Overall this is great lipstick for orange lipstick lovers, but only if you are comfortable with the semi sheer coverage or you are comfortable with the lip brush application.
What I Like About Loreal Color Riche Star Collection Pure Reds Lipstick Pure Fire:
- Classy Black Packaging.
- Soft & smooth texture.
- True Matte Finish.
- Stays for really long durations.
- A Vibrant red hued orange shade.
- Feels Light on lips.
- Does not dry lips.
What I Don’t Like About Loreal Color Riche Star Collection Pure Reds Lipstick Pure Fire:
- Lags in color pay off.
- Gets patchy in application.
It could have got a better rating only if it wasn’t patchy in application.
Will I Recommend: Orange lipstick diggers with fair to medium complexion should get this lipstick; you won’t repent getting this shade.
