This is my first post in this blog and I would like to start with something about me.
My name is Dr. Neha Shukla and I am a Dental Surgeon by profession. I have immense love for makeup and am forever curious and willing to try out new products. I have two kids, a 4 year old daughter and a 1.5 year old son. Both keep me on my toes so I have to give Dentistry a break for a while. Until the time I resume, you will find me here .

My experience with Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Mirage:
My brother-in-law was in New York a couple of months back and since each one of us girls know how men are when it comes to shopping, I decided to order some products I was curious to try since a long time now from Sephora to his hotel address. After frantic search I finally came across an affordable gift set by Tarte Cosmetics. It included a blush and a cheek stain (both minis). Once I got my parcel after he came back to India, I was thrilled to see everything was just perfect.
The Blush ‘Mirage’ comes as a part of Tarte’s Pigment of Imagination set. I am not sure if it is sold separately in full packaging, but this mini is enough for me to last quite a few months.
It comes in a small round pot with similar colour outer which makes it easy to locate in your stash if you own many Tarte blushes. It is a perfect size for travelling. The only thing I miss in the packaging is the absence of mirror inside. I have been travelling quite a lot lately and this blush is ALWAYS with me along with my MAC 129SE brush.
The Colour Mirage is a soft peachy pink. But I see a hint of beige in it too. It has fine golden sheen to it which does not feel gritty at all. On my NC37 skin, it shows pink giving my cheeks a natural peachy-pink glow. I love using such blushes which impart a natural glow effect to the skin.
Coming to the texture, it is a very soft textured blush. One swipe of my blush brush really picks up the colour. It blends beautifully without any effort. I have read reviews about this blush being less pigmented but I have experienced the opposite. It is absolutely pigmented and you end up using very less product each time you get ready. Newbies need to be little careful as it can go over the top easily. Start by layering it and you will end up with perfectly glowing cheeks. Though they can make use of the fact that it is a light shade blush.
I haven’t had the chance to test it for 12 hours with my kids jumping on me all the time, but it did stayed for 7+ hours which is quite a thing to impress me. I have blushes that don’t even last for 2-3 hours.
So, after I tried Mirage, I was thrilled and felt proud of my purchase.
To sum it up,
What I like about Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Mirage:
- Travel friendly
- Imparts a natural glow without being tacky
- Smooth application
- Free of all the sulphates and phthalates and parabens
- Lasting power is 7+ hours
What I dont like about Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Mirage:
- Cannot think of any!
Girls, if you ever get a chance to lay your hands on it, do pick it up! You will not regret. The other part of the set, the Cheek Stain, is equally good. Shall review it soon.
