I am back with another review on Coastal Scents hot pot. It’s called Flesh Tone.
About Coastal Scents Hot Pot:
We offer Blush Hot Pots labeled with the letter B and our eye shadows in different finishes identified by the following letters: Matte (M) and Satin/Shimmer (S). You may also select shades from our Creative Me #1 Palette labeled CM and our Metal Mania and Creative Me #2 Palettes labeled ME.
My experience with Coastal Scents Hot Pot Flesh Tone :
Packaging: The eye shadow pan is housed in a sturdy plastic case with a scissor lock. The plastic case keeps the pan safe and protects the product inside from any sort of damages. The shade number is written at base.
Shade: A beautiful natural pale, beige hue with a golden shimmer finish. Great for every skin tone. It is a perfect under brow highlight and inner corner highlight. Sometimes I wear it all over my lid as well. But the best part is, you can use it to highlight your cheeks as well. The colour is very pretty, true to description in my opinion.
Texture: The shadow has smooth texture and the shimmers are not at all gritty or disturbing and add a beautiful sheen. The color does not feel chalky and there is no fall out at all. It is easy to apply and blends well with other shades too.
Pigmentation: It is pretty well pigmented. It shows well even without a primer. Very rich and one swipe gives a pretty flush of color on eyes. The shade is buildable and thus can be intensified as per choice.
Staying power: Good staying power and it stayed intact on me for more than 6 hours. No smudging or fading. Though it comes out with a minimal cleanse in one swipe.
Summing up my Likes and Dislikes:-
What I like about Coastal Scents Hot Pot Flesh Tone:
- Beautiful shade.
- Use it as eye shadow or cheek highlight.
- Non chunky shimmers.
- Smooth satiny texture.
- Blends like a dream.
- Insanely pigmented.
- Stays pretty long.
- Cute packaging.
- Dirt Cheap.
- Suits every skin tone.
- Better than her MAC dupe.
- Pick up your own colors and customize your pallet.
What I don’t like about Coastal Scents Hot Pot Flesh Tone:
This gorgeous shade is a dupe of MAC limited edition eye shadow Dream Maker. I have used MAC Dream Maker as well and I can say Coastal Scents has done a really really great job in this. Dream Maker was just way too chalky for me and the pigmentation wasn’t that good either. But Flesh Tone has got an awesome texture and pigmentation. Yes, we are getting a MAC dupe with an equally gorgeous shade, with an even better texture, better pigmentation and a better color payoff but at a much lesser rate.
Final thoughts: One of my favorites! It is ohh so versatile!! Gorgeous color, smooth texture, insanely pigmented and long staying. I’m in love with this and I highly recommend it to others..!!
