10 MAC Brown Pink Lipsticks Review & Swatches
They say there is a lipstick shade for everybody. Some loves red, some loves pink, some loves coral, some loves plum, some loves brown and there are people like me, who likes pink but not brighter pink but with a good dose of brown that finally doesn’t look much scary brown on lips (aaa…what am I saying?), in a nutshell, a lipstick that is both pink and brown, or just pinky brown.
MAC is the answers to our every need. It has lipsticks in varied textures and shades.
So listing our top favorite MAC pinky brown/ browny pink lipsticks.
The first name that comes in my mind is MAC Twig. Twig is described on the MAC website as a soft muted brownish pink. And I do agree! It’s thankfully not an out n out brown and has the right bit of pink in it which saves it from looking dull and washed out.
It’s a natural brown pinky shade which by the way is a close dupe of MAC Twig lipstick . Texture is creamy and quite moisturizing and doesn’t settle into fine lines. It is pigmented and stays pretty long.
This color is described as a lovely neutral pink. The lipstick is very creamy and glides on very smoothly. It doesn’t settle into my fine lines and uber smooth and on application. I find this like a semi-matte shade but it doesn’t dry my lips out like other mattes. In fact, I love this finish since the creaminess remains for long even after the color has faded away.
It is a sheer neutral Pink. You know how most neutrals are either invisible or brown or a more opaque pink?? Well, Patisserie is a sheer, flesh toned neutral pink which is a very MLBB shade for me and this would probably be my exact lip color had it not been for the pigmentation on my lips. It has no shimmer whatsoever, but being a Lustre finish lippy, it does give a glossy look. Looks gorgeous with dramatic smoky eyes.
A highly pigmented long staying shade which gives me MLBB colour .It’s a daily wear shade which is going to suit most skin tone from NC 30 to NC 50.Shade is pretty adjusting and if you are fair then more of plum from the shade will be visible and if near NC 40 then it appears as pinky brown and on darker skin tone it comes out more of a creamy brown.
A cool toned nude pink brown shade. It can be a nice MLBB color for medium to fair skin tone colors. It has gorgeous pigmentation and opacity in one swipe and staying power is decent too.
A warm peachy brown shade with pink undertones in creamsheen finish. This shade can also turn out as one of the HG nude shade of some of you. It has a smooth creamy texture, and has medium coverage but goes on opaque in 2 swipes. Looks gorgeous with dramatic smoky eyes.
MAC describes the shade as neutral pink with pearl. Viva Glam V is a nude pink brown shade that is pretty much neutral. For the same reason, this is one shade that will look gorgeous on both cool and warm skin tones.
Mac describes ‘Retro’ as muted peachy pinky brown’ shade. It is a highly pigmented shade, with one swipe it gives nearly full coverage and with two swipes I get opaque coverage. It feels like butter on lips. It applies evenly on lips without getting streaky.
