Coastal Scents Hot Pot S19 Satin Lavender
Today I am here with another review of Coastal Scents hotpot. These pots are becoming my favorite day by day. So today’s review is on a hotpot named “Satin Lavender.”
About Coastal Scents Hot Pot:
We offer Blush Hot Pots labeled with the letter B and our eye shadows in different finishes identified by the following letters: Matte (M) and Satin/Shimmer (S). You may also select shades from our Creative Me #1 Palette labeled CM and our Metal Mania and Creative Me #2 Palettes labeled ME.
My experience with Coastal Scents Hot Pot S19 Satin Lavender:
Packaging: The eye shadow pan is housed in a sturdy plastic case with a scissor lock. The plastic case keeps the pan safe and protects the product inside from any sort of damages. The shade number is written at base.
Shade: Coastal Scents has named it aptly. It is a soft wash of lavender with a satin finish. Very pretty, very feminine. It can be used alone or combined with other shades as well. Great for everyday use and for all skin tones.
Texture: The shadow has smooth texture. The color does not feel chalky and there is no fall out at all. It is easy to apply and blends well with other shades too.
Pigmentation: It gives a sheer, but can be built up to a medium coverage. It shows better with a primer beneath.
Staying power: The staying power is not very impressive and it stayed on me for about 3 hours after which it just vanished away. With a primer beneath it stayed a little longer. It comes out with a minimal cleanse in one swipe.
What I like about Coastal Scents Hot Pot S19 Satin Lavender:
- Pretty feminine shade.
- Smooth satiny texture.
- Blends well.
- Cute packaging.
- Dirt Cheap.
- Pick up your own colors and customize your pallet.
What I don’t like about Coastal Scents Hot Pot S19 Satin Lavender:
- Pigmentation could have been better.
- Poor Staying power.
- Non availability in India.
It is said that Coastal Scents Satin Lavender is a close dupe of MAC Parfait Amour. But MAC one comes with a frosty finish, is more pigmented and stays long. Being a frosty eye shadow, the texture is different too.
Final thoughts: This is a beautiful color that makes eyes pop. Smooth and non-chalky. My only cribbing is the lack of pigments and low staying power. CS hot pots are one the best budget eye shadows (excluding shipping and customs if any).
