Wet n Wild Mega Last lipstick 916D Ravin’ Raisin
Today I am here with a review on a lipstick from Wet n Wild Mega last range, named Ravin’ Rasin. This is my first ever purple colored lipstick, and I was very eager to try it. So lets see how it fared on me.
About Wet n Wild Mega Last lipstick:
- This 4-hour, long wearing lip color leaves a semi-matte, crème finish in one stroke.
- Glides on easily with rich, velvety color that doesn’t cake, feather, or bleed.
My experience with Wet n Wild Mega Last lipstick 916D Ravin’ Raisin:
Packaging: Not too attractive plastic packaging with a black bottom and a transparent lid. The ingredient and other details are written on a paper rolled on the bullet and you have to peel that in order open the product. The lipstick doesn’t completely scroll down all the way, and when I pull the cap off in hurry, it smashes and I find lipstick all over the lid. One has to be really careful while opening and closing the cap.
Shade: A unique mid tone raisin with dusty mauve undertones. When you wear this shade, you don’t really have to think about rest of the makeup. I used to think that purple lipsticks add years to your age. But this changed the way I thought. This is beautiful and totally non-scary. I didn’t know a purple lipstick can look so gorgeous. I tried MAC Heroine at the store, and I felt it is not me. But this shade is totally rocking. I guess this is the perfect purple-colored lipstick that would suit any woman of any age and skin tone.
Texture: The formula is excellent too because it’s matte without being too drying. I have very dry lips, and dessert like matte lipsticks scare me. But I love the texture of this one. So creamy and so smooth. It glides on like butter without tugging or pulling and after a while it settles into a semi matte finish, just the way I love.
Pigmentation: Crazily pigmented. One swipe is enough to give full-coverage to any pigmented lips. It truly has completely rich and utterly beautiful color payoff. The hand swatch shows the colour intensity at one swipe.
Staying Power: It is mindblowing-ly long-lasting and survives snacks and drinks. It claims to stay for 4 hours, but I wore it for 7hours at a stretch, and when I came back home and looked into the mirror, it was still there. It leaves a strong tint behind even after removing with a makeup remover.
Summing up my “LIKES” and “DISLIKES”:-
What I like about Wet n Wild MegaLast Lipstick Ravin’ Rasin:
- Gorgeous shade.
- Dirt cheap.
- Lovely creamy texture.
- Settles into a semi mate finish.
- Keeps lips moisturized.
- Incredibly pigmented.
- Stays for a long time.
- No disturbing fragrance.
- Doesn’t bleed.
- Doesn’t highlight patches.
- Covers lip pigmentation.
What I don’t like about Wet n Wild MegaLast Lipstick Ravin’ Rasin:
- The cheap-looking messy packaging.
- Availability in India.
Final Thoughts: A gorgeous shade of raisin, which is non-scary and doesn’t add years to your age. Creamy, smooth, crazily pigmented, stays long, and the best part is the semi- matte finish which is hydrating and doesn’t dry out lips.
Recommendations? Yes. This lippy has truly impressed me, so a bigggg Yes. I never knew I am gonna love a purple colored lipstick so much.
