Wet n Wild MegaLast Lipstick 915B Spiked with Rum
Today I am here with a review on a lipstick from Wet n Wild Mega last range, named Spiked with Rum (915D).
About What Wet n Wild Megalast Lipstick:
- This 4-hour, long wearing lip color leaves a semi-matte, crème finish in one stroke.
- Glides on easily with rich, velvety color that doesn’t cake, feather, or bleed.
My experience with Wet n Wild MegaLast Lipstick 915B Spiked with Rum:
Packaging: Not too attractive plastic packaging with a black bottom and a transparent lid. The ingredient and other details are written on a paper rolled on the bullet and you have to peel that in order open the product. The lipstick doesn’t completely scroll down all the way, and when I pull the cap off in hurry, it smashes and I find lipstick all over the lid. One has to be really careful while opening and closing the cap.
Shade: Now I am a little confused with the shade. It is a chameleon and seems to change its shade under different light and also depend on how you do your makeup. During the day, it is like a warm medium toned pinky brown, but inside the room it seems to be a muted dusty brown which leans more towards peach than pink. When you wear it during the night, it is terracotta red, which means the red undertones are more dominant than the pink or peachy ones. Confused? Even I am. So buy it, and decide yourself.
Due to its different undertones, it is going to suit everybody.
Texture: The formula is excellent too because it’s matte without being too drying. I have very dry lips, and dessert like matte lipsticks scare me. But I love the texture of this one. So creamy and so smooth. It glides on like butter without tugging or pulling and after a while it settles into a semi matte finish, just the way I love.
But…but.. If your lips are not exfoliated properly, it is going to highlight your patches badly.
Pigmentation: Crazily pigmented. One swipe is enough to give full-coverage to any pigmented lips. It truly has completely rich and utterly beautiful color payoff. The hand swatch shows the color intensity at one swipe.
Staying Power: It is mindblowing-ly long-lasting and survives snacks and drinks. It claims to stay for 4 hours, but I wore it for 7hours at a stretch, and when I came back home and looked into the mirror, it was still there. It leaves a strong tint behind even after removing with a makeup remover.
Summing up my “LIKES” and “DISLIKES”:-
What I like about Wet n Wild MegaLast Lipstick in Spiked with Rum 915B:
- Gorgeous shade.. 3 in 1
- Dirt cheap.
- Lovely creamy texture.
- Settles into a semi mate finish.
- Keeps lips moisturized.
- Incredibly pigmented.
- Stays for a long time.
- No disturbing fragrance.
- Doesn’t bleed.
- Doesn’t highlight patches.
- Covers lip pigmentation.
What I don’t like about Wet n Wild MegaLast Lipstick in Spiked with Rum 915B:
- The cheap-looking messy packaging.
- Highlight dry patches if lips are not well prepped.
- Availability in India.
Final Thoughts: A chameleon shade, which is just gorgeous and looks great with neutral eye makeup as well as with dramatic eye makeup. Creamy, smooth, crazily pigmented, stays long, and the best part is the semi- matte finish which is hydrating and doesn’t dry out lips. But as I said, one has to prep lips well prior application.
Recommendations? Yes, absolutely.
