Iron enriched food
There are certain foods that are naturally high in iron and the first thing you can do is to regularly incorporate those into your diet to increase the amount of iron you absorb. What goes inside sows inside. Food sources of iron are divided into two groups:-
Animal source- red meat, poultry, internal parts such as heart and liver, cod liver, egg yolks and seafood. Even small portions of animal proteins on a regular basis can make huge differences.
Vegetable, fruits, nuts source- Green leafy vegetables such as parsley, spinach; legumes, pomegranates, jamun, black grapes, apricots (especially when dried or semi dried), plums, strawberries, avocados, phalsa, cashew nuts, coconut, pumpkin seeds, mustard seeds, pistachios, raisins, coriander seeds, almonds and walnuts are good sources of iron too. You can make a detox drink with parsley, spinach and other leafy vegetables. In this way you’ll be able to flush away the deadly toxins from your body, as well as you’ll obtain healthy levels of iron in the blood. Legumes’ salad is a great option too. Take equal proportions of soybeans, kidney beans, lentils, chickpeas, peanuts, toss them in a pan for some time or you can steam them as well. And have in the evenings.

Cooking in iron containers
According to the “Journal of Food Science”, cooking with cast-iron pots and pans increased the iron content of foods.
Tea, coffee, colas, fizzy drinks, milk and other dairy products make it difficult for our body to absorb iron, so try not to have any of these just after you had iron enriched meal. Leave at least a gap of a couple of hours between the iron and non iron enriched meals or snacks.
