Hyper pigmentation is a common skin condition where patches of skin become darker in color than the normal surrounding skin. This is mainly caused by increased melanin on those particular areas. Now Melanin is the class of pigment responsible for producing colors in the body in places such as skin, eyes and hair. Too much melanin may be secreted and concentrated at one point of the skin and that’s what we call hyper pigmentation.
