My take on Revlon Matte Balm 245 Audacious:
This shade too comes in the same crayon like chubby pencil like the other matte balms. It is color-coded and easy for me to spot the shade since I have five of these cuties now.
Color: The reviews about this color, which I’d read online, were quite misleading. It was said to be a bright orange in shade with hint of red. But when I swiped the color on me, it was a true coral shade with a orangey tint. Since I love coral shades, I didn’t mind picking this baby up at all. In fact I loved it a lot!
245 Audacious is a pretty color that perks up my face in an instant. The kind of shade that would surely compliment a lot of Indian skin tones.
Texture: Since the texture is velvet in finish, it glides smoothly over my lips and doesn’t feel heavy. It is almost as applying a balm but with color. The formula is very creamy and settles to a velvety matte. All of the matte balms have a peppermint scent, which is so pleasant but soon vanishes after a couple of minutes.
Pigmentation: Deeply pigmented. One swipe is enough for full coverage as seen on the hand swatch below.
Staying power: Velvety matte lippies need to be reapplied, as it tends to fade away after snacking or meals. It last 4 to 5 hours on me though.
What I like about Revlon Matte Balm 245 Audacious:
- Pretty coral shade
- Smooth application
- Deeply opaque
- Velvety matte
- No dryness
- Peppermint scent
What I don’t like about Revlon Matte Balm 245 Audacious:
- Pricey for the amount you get
- Doesn’t survive snacks/meals
Would I recommend: Yes.
