My experience with Iraya Orange and Citrus Lip Balm:
Packaging: The lip balm comes in a heavy bottom glass pot which has aluminum covered plastic cap that screw opens. The pot looks good but it is not sturdy enough and is not travel friendly. I also do not like the idea of pot packaging for lip balms, tube packaging would have better for ease of application.
Texture: The texture of this citrusy orange colored lip balm is really smooth. It looks thick in the top but melts as soon as you apply it on lips. It really feels very light weight on lips.
Fragrance: I am very fascinated with its mild citrusy orange fragrance. It is not at all overpowering and artificial.
My Take: This lip balm is a clear winner for me. I like the way how my lips feel post its application.
It does not at all feels heavy on my lips. I apply a thin layer of this when I just need a bit of moisturization and apply a heavy layer at night when I need some healing for my lips. I also use it under drying lipsticks. All I do is simply apply a thin layer of this lip balm, blot it and follow up with the lipstick application.
The quantity provided is huge and it will last you for months, as only a very minute quantity is needed for each usage. I really adore the citrusy flavor but the packaging does not please me at all. I do not like how the lip balm gets into my nails each time I try to take the product out.
It does nothing to lighten pigmented lips and it does not even claim so. What it claims is to keep lip moisturized and prevent them from drying, and it stands by all it claims.
Overall, this is a great lip balm to have and I really adore using it.
