Malavara Lime Vetivar Body Wash
Today I’ll be reviewing a body wash that I received in my April 2015 Fabbag. I was pretty excited to try this body wash as it came in my favorite citrusy fragrance. It is Malavara Lime Vetiver Body Wash.
So let us see how it worked…
About Malavara Lime Vetivar Body Wash
Malavara body washes are derived from pure coconut and virgin olive oils, which contain both the essential fatty acids to strengthen, condition, nourish and soften skin as well as the antioxidants needed to improve skin elasticity. They are entirely free of SLS, Parabens and other harsh preservatives. The preservative system used in our products is very gentle on skin, is included in the Handbook of Green Chemicals and is Whole Foods Premium Bodycare approved.

My Experience with Malavara Lime Vetivar Body Wash
Packaging and product details- It comes is a transparent bottle with screw open cap. When in the bottle, the body wash looks pale green in color and when poured on hand it is almost transparent. The product has a runny gel like consistency and a very mild citrusy smell.
My take- I generally prefer body washes to soaps and citrus smelling products are my favorite. But this kind of disappoints me. I love fragrances that lingers, this one doesn’t even stay beyond the bathroom. Once I was out of the washroom I could smell noting.
Good part is, just a small amount is needed and it is capable of producing rich lather. It cleanses the skin well. You need to spend a little extra time to completely wash it off otherwise the product leaves a slippery residue on skin. Another thing, I prefer my body washes to be moisturizing and this is not. I have normal skin, and it failed to keep my skin hydrated.
Summing up my likes and dislikes
What I like about Malavara Lime Vetiver Body Wash?-
- Small amount is needed
- Lathers well
- Cleanses well
- Compact, travel friendly packaging
- Parabens and SLS free
- Very mild fragrance
- Good for people with very sensitive nose
What I don’t like about Malavara Lime Vetiver Body Wash?-
- I wish the fragrance at least stayed for an hour
- I wish it didn’t dry out my skin
- It is SLS free, but contains SLES. Wow….!!
Final Thoughts (Recommendation and Repurchase)-
I hate hating products and slamming them. This failed to impress me. I would definitely not repurchase this.
Recommendation?- I have seen people raving about and loving this product, so I guess it varies from person to person. I personally would not recommend this to you. There are way better products available in the market at much lesser rates.
