Today I am here to share with you all five tried and tested mint face masks that work well in beautifying your skin and keeping skin problems at bay.
Mint is rich in menthol and has anti bacterial properties, I would not be wrong if I call it a beauty herb since it is laden with innumerable beauty benefits and is used various beauty products like, tones, astringents and moisturizers.
The packs that I shall be sharing with you all are pretty simple and do not involve many ingredients and at the same time is not very time consuming. So, even the lazy lasses can give these face packs a shot.
For Cleansing & Tightening Open Pores
Open pores is a common beauty problem especially among oily skinned people. For the cleansing and tightening face pack all you need to do, is to simply crush some fresh mint leaves and mix in some honey to make a paste like consistency. Apply this to your face and wash off with cold water or lukewarm water. Since cold water helps in closing pores, I suggest cold water over lukewarm water. Regular usage will show good results.
For Treating Acne
Acne is a big time spoiler and we all definitely hate them. People since years are trying to find out sure shot ways to bust acne and neem has come up as a great remedy for acne. What if I tell you that there is something even better and more effective than neem when it comes to treating acne. Mint is more effective than neem face pack s that you might know of and that’s because mint is rich salicylic acid which helps in quick healing of acne & pimples and prevents its recurrence.
For this face pack all you need to do is to grind some mint leaves and mix with some rose water. Apply to the affected area, allow to dry and later rinse off.
Regular exfoliating is a must and when you can have an all natural exfoliant, nothing could seem better than it. For this purely natural mint exfoliant you need to extract some fresh mint juice and add oatmeal powder to it. Mix just enough of oatmeal powder to get an easy applicable consistency. For mint juice you simply need to grind few mint leaves with little water and sieve it. Apply this exfoliating pack and gently scrub in exfoliating motions. Wash off. This will remove all dead skin cells, revealing a fresh glowing skin.
For Removing Facial Imperfections
This is a perfect summer mint DIY, I love to call it as Cool Mint Candy. Of course you know that’s it not a regular ice candy that you would want to eat; instead it is a mint ice cube for face. For this you simply need to freeze some mint juice and make mint ice cubes out of it. Pour some mint juice in ice tray and allow it to freeze. There you have your mint ice cubes. Apply the mint ice cube to your face by regularly massaging the ice cube all over the face till it melts completely, allow the juice on your face to dry and later wash off. This not only will calm and relax you in the mercury melting temperatures but on regular usage will also help you get rid of face imperfections like dark spots, acne and uneven skin tone. Remember to use an old ice tray as the mint juice may stain your ice trays.
For Removing Dark Spots
Let us face it, those stubborn ugly dark spots have been a part of our lives some day or the other and we hate them. This face pack works fabulously in fading and removing dark spots. For this face pack you need some crushed fresh mint leaves. Mix it with some freshly squeezed lemon juice and apply it to your face, allow it to dry. Wash off with cool water.
These were some very effective and easy mint face packs that you must try. Remember to always do a patch test to detect any allergic reaction. Try these face packs and I bet you would not look back to those chemical laden commercially sold face packs.
