NYX High Definition Foundation HDF105 Medium
How are you all?
Today I am here with a new product review which happens to be a foundation I recently started using. Well, I love the MAC Face & Body Foundation any given day but it is good to keep trying new things and when I was scrolling the NYX website, I saw this HD Foundation and bought it immediately.
So, I am here to share my thoughts about it and in case you too are thinking to try this product, this review will surely be of some help to you!
About NYX High Definition Foundation HDF105 Medium
You don’t have to be on camera to achieve flawless skin! Our peptide infused High Definition Foundation uses light-diffusing technology to enhance the appearance of silky smooth skin. Achieve a picture-perfect look anytime you’re in the spotlight.
Price– $18 for 33.3ml
Packaging– The foundation comes in a black colored tube with all the details mentioned on it. Earlier this used to come in a pump packaging. I believe it is available in both the packaging as I have not seen the reviews of the one in tube packaging.
Shade– I got the shade Medium HDF 105 for my NC37 skin tone. NYX describes the shade as a medium shade with golden undertone. The shade perfectly matches my skin tone, so much so that it looks as if I am not wearing any foundation at all!
Texture– The foundation is light weight and not very thick because then blending is a difficult task. The matte finish it gives to the skin lives up to the HD claim.
My Experience with NYX High Definition Foundation HDF105 Medium
Well, its really hot and humid in my city these days and almost 99% foundation will make your face look oily due to the extreme humidity.
The foundation is ultra light and blends easily without much efforts. Initially I liked it because it is not cakey at all and looks natural but the shade appears a little oily on me. The matte finish of this foundation tends to get absorbed by the skin after few hours and it looks as if I am wearing no foundation at all. It literally sucks the foundation!
Since the humidity is so high and it looks oily on my skin, I prefer to use a compact powder on top of it to make my face look matte and shine free.
With regards to the coverage of this foundation, it lacks a lot in the area and will not cover blemishes, large pores, or scars which is surely a disappointment as one wants a medium to opaque coverage with a foundation!
The packaging is nice and travel friendly. You may choose the bottle or tube packaging as per choice.
It photographs well and that is another nice thing about it. Overall, I have a mixed feeling about this HD foundation. Initially I loved it but as the temperature started rising I wasn’t not too impressed with it.
I think it is certainly not for the hot & humid summer or monsoon season and will suit the skin during the dry months of year.
