My Experience with Bella Pierre Mineral Lipstick In RUBY
Packaging—I received the lipstick sans any outer packaging, it was just the lipstick bullet shut tightly with a black cap, as it came in a monthly subscription bag known as fab bag! So I cannot really comment on the outer covering of the lipstick. Coming to the lipstick itself, it comes in a black bullet and the packaging is satiny-matte to touch. Twos sides of the lipstick have this quilted kind of pattern to them, while the other two sides of the lipstick are plain with the name BELLA PIERRE written on one of the plain sides.
The lipstick has a silver bullet, which comes up and down easily—no hassle at all! The cap shuts tightly, no doubts of it opening in my handbag or anything like that. The lid shits off with a click sound and seems quite reliable to me. As wit most lipsticks, the packaging is nothing too heavy, and is relatively easy to carry and use for touch-ups.
Shade– The shade Ruby, as the name suggests is a red hue. Though the color ruby makes me expect a deep ruby-red, leaning more towards a dark reddish-maroon kind of a shade—this color seems to be a true red sans any undertones. But upon swatching the lipstick on my hand as well as my lips, I could actually see that the color is more of a red leaning towards orange. I am not saying that it is a reddish-orange, because it is not, but yes, I cannot call it a true red.
Leaving everything aside, the color is really beautiful, and is surprisingly one of the most wearable reds for the Indian skin tones.
Texture- This mineral lipstick from the house of Bella Pierre is chock full of antioxidants, mineral pigments, Vitamins C and E, and natural bees wax; then how could the texture of such a lipstick be anything less than amazing? The texture of the lipstick is nothing extra ordinary, but is quite easy to work with. Neither excessively creamy, glossy, nor too drying-matte—just workable! The lipstick sets into a nice semi-matte finish which is neither too glossy, nor too drying. But overall, the texture is nice and has a really lightweight formula which does not settle into fine lips if the lips are prepped before hand.
Pigmentation-Talking about pigmentation, I did not find it amazingly pigmented. One look at the hand swatch and you know what I mean. Though the pigmentation and color pay off that you get in a single swipe makes it the perfect choice for a nice red-tinted lip. But you can layer the product to get a deeper, richer color which pleases your romantic senses. But still, the pigmentation could have been better—come on, we are paying 1500 bucks for a single tube—we can expect a good pigmentation to say the least!
Staying Power- I am saying this after having tried and testing the lipstick for 3 days straight under different situation, and I am saying with this a heavy heart—I do not find this lipstick to be super long-lasting. When I applied the lipstick directly from the tube, on exfoliated and prepped lips, the lip color stayed on for about 4 hours, after which it started fading from the insides of the lips. But the good part is that the lip color faded very evenly, and it did not feather—yes, even without a lip liner—talk about the benefits of a semi-matte finish.
On exfoliated and moisturized, lined lips—along with using the blot and reapply technique—the lipstick lasted for about 5 hours. I was expecting better though, after having done so many extra steps.
What I Like about Bella Pierre Mineral lipstick In RUBY?

- Does not settle into fine lines
- Semi-matte finish
- Good for a tinted lip

What I Don’t Like about Bella Pierre Mineral lipstick In RUBY?
- Needs multiple swipes for full coverage

- Semi-matte finish may be a con for some, though I love my matte lipsticks
Will I Recommend?- You can try it for the luxurious shade, but for the price you are paying, I would say that you can get something much better! ☺
