Family Function Outfit (Sareez.com) & Makeup Look
Hello gorgeous ladies,
Today is a little different outfit post. You will not generally see me in any traditional avatar and when it comes to ethnic wear, the most that I can think of, is of wearing a suit. I rarely wear sarees, in fact now I do not have many sarees with me since I have given all to my mom.
Saree is no doubt the most graceful attire to be worn. It is that one attire which makes you look graceful and sexy, all at the same time, but carrying a saree with all charm seemed a little uneasy for me and which is why I have for most of my life stayed away from such graceful attire.
Recently I was sent a beautiful saree by Sareez.com and I really loved it. Before I tell you more about the saree and show you my OOTD, let me first tell you all few details about Sareez.com
Sareez.com is currently one of the leading online retailers of Indian ethnic wears which includes of sarees, salwar suits, lehengas, etc. They have a huge collection with a varied price range. This ensures a good design and outfit for every budget. The most attractive feature of them is that they ship their products worldwide with general shipping charges outside India of $9. They also provide free shipping worldwide if the purchase is over $99. In India the shipping is absolutely free. Normally they provide an unstitched blouse piece with the saree but they do have a stitching service as well with some added charges, isn’t it really great.
About The Saree:
Sareez.com describes the saree as “Peach Yellow and Cream Yellow embroidered festival saree intricate with zari thread, resham thread, floral work, leaf work, keri work and patch patti border work. Saree comes with an unstitch blouse piece of Silk fabric which can be customized as per your requirement. Customization includes changing front neck style, back neck style, increasing/reducing the length of sleeves. Accessories which is shown in the image is only for shooting purpose. There might be some color variation. Fall and edging is done to all sarees and it’s free of cost.”
Why I Wore It:
After sareez.com sent me this beautiful saree, I was waiting for the right occasion to wear it. Finally the right occasion came, It was a family function that held few days back and I wore this silk saree at the occasion with all traditional makeup and accessories.
My relatives at the event appreciated my look and made me feel more beautiful. It was a day time function and I was glad to have this saree in a shade that really went well with the day time.
I am super sure that by know you must be very eager to know the makeup breakdown. As of now I shall only be sharing fewer details about the makeup here, a video with detailed eye makeup for this look will be up soon.
For lips I chose the popular MAC Chilli. Blush is the Milani D Ore, you can check the review here. Highlighter was from The Balm. I curled my hair for a more ethnic look with my Philips hair curler.(Detail video of how to get curls like these here )
My Opinion About The Saree:
To begin with I would like to mention that I am a more of georgette & chiffon fabric lover because of the perfect fall that these fabric have. Silk as a fabric was something that I never preferred due to the stiff nature of the fabric, I have always found myself a bit uncomfortable in carrying such fabrics.
If I would have purchased the saree from this site, then certainly I would have avoided the silk fabric but since Sareez.com sent me this saree for review, I did not feel like interrupting the site’s decision.
Well I actually like it now. As I already mention that I rarely wear saree, but my ethnic looks do go well, and so did this. Hmmm Hmmm this was a moment of self appreciation
Sareez.com asked my measurements, so as to provide me with the stitched blouse and underskirt/petticoat. I did not need to do any alterations as everything that they sent fitted me very well. I really like the soft material of the under skirt.
On an all I really like the saree, and the design & fabric justified the price..
Did you like my ethnic look?
