The Body Shop “Limited Edition” Cranberry Joy Body Butter
Hello my beautiful ladies!
How is your August passing by? Go Augusts and Septembers—and here comes my most favorite of all seasons—the winters! <3
I am drearily awaiting for the winters to wrap me in its cold arms ever-so-snugly! You must be wondering, that why am i awaiting the dry winters when i can have so much in the wet climate of today! But, you wouldn’t understand me if you haven’t used, or even smelled the body shop body butters—especially the one in this adorable little limited edition Cranberry joy version! And I am not even kidding!
This was my first product haul from the body shop—in fact it came to me as a gift to me which I accepted pretty greedily! I received a limited edition Christmas Box which had a total of four products in it—Cranberry Joy (which was their limited edition release, with a revamped packaging and improved scent) body butter being amongst them!
So coming to the actual reviews! Although by now you must have understood what (all good) I am going to say about this precious little gem of a product that lies around in my kitty making it look so pretty and girly! Yay, call me an open book if you want, but I am BAD at concealing things (not my spots and blemishes, though )!

My Experience with The Body Shop “Limited Edition” Cranberry Joy Body Butter
Packaging- As I mentioned, it came to me snugly fit in a cute hut shaped Back-to-school Christmas edition box which had cranberries and ginger-bread man carved on it! Real, cuteness!
About the actual product packaging, it comes in this regular The Body Shop-Body butter TUB packaging with a screw-top lid which shuts tightly! The top of the cute little reddish-pink tub sit cute little frosty-cranberries with snowflakes hovering all around them! Just like my love-at-first-sight with the ginger sparkle body butter packaging, i fell for the packaging of this cute little baby the very first time i saw it! On the back is very sophisticatedly printed the ingredients list, the cost, directions for use in English as well as one other language, which i fail to comprehend given my ignorance for foreign languages!
All in all the packaging is quite sturdy, nothing too heavy and travel friendly as the lid shuts quite tightly and is not prone to opening without notice if screwed properly! Plus, the super cute frosted cranberries which look just too delicious to pop in the mouth!
Texture- Like almost all other body butters which I have had encountered till date, the Cranberry joy butter too is a bit on the thicker side! Not as thick as the ginger sparkle version of the limited edition body butter line, but still it is thick—think of a thick nourishing butter! I mean, it did not liquidefy even in the blasted summers of Delhi! The actual product is a very pretty but light pinkish kind of a shade which is so so so pretty, and it blends like butter; pun intended!
The product is not at all sticky—and this coming from a moisturiser-hater is a big thing! I hate products that give even the tiniest bit of shine to my skin—and Body shop exceeds in this department. Once blended, it seeps deep into the layers of your skin and does not show up as anything extra on the skin! Win, win!
Fragrance- Remember how i had fallen in a love-hate relationship with my previous ginger sparkle body butter? The good thing is that this baby did not made me even lean towards hatred for a fraction of a second—I sniffed it once; and it was adoration at the first sniff—literally! The fragrance of the butter is so much like real berries infused with loads of vanilla—but nothing too overbearing! I love using it in combination with my Cranberry shower gel which was again a part of the body shop limited edition Christmas range; and the end result is that I smell of berries for a good 5-6 hours even in Delhi’s summers! Isn’t that just a miraculous thing to happen—especially to a sweaty person like me?
My Take- I generally do not use moisturizing lotions, dreading sever breakouts due to excess oil on my skin—but this very product changed my notion of moisturization! No, moisturizers do not necessarily add that unwanted shine to your face, at least the limited edition cranberry joy Body Butter does not do that to me! Thank you for the miracle, body shop!
Anyhow, I am not a day-moisturizer kind of a person; instead I prefer applying my moisturizers at night before going to sleep! And really, I felt the difference in my skin’s suppleness, well within the first month of regular application. Plus the ultra-girly berry fragrance urged me to apply and reapply it almost everyday! Yes, i am that fond of all things girly!
Just like the Ginger sparkle body butter, this one was a perception-changer product for me, in the true sense!
