How To Do The Perfect Wake Up Makeup
You just woke up and saw that its already 8 in the morning. Now you need to get ready and leave for work/college within an hour. In your hurry to reach our destination on time, you often end up applying makeup badly or skip it altogether. Your already sleepy face becomes even dull in the course of the day.
This is a horror story that none of us wants to be in. Most of us do not wake up with flawless skin and hair. But nicely done makeup can hide all that. What you need is just 15 minutes! I have put together an easy to follow makeup routine that will not only make you look awake but also well put together. These are are my tricks To Do The Perfect Wake Up Makeup-
First and foremost cleanse and hydrate your skin. If you have puffy eyes, use a product that soothes them instantly so they look less swollen. Apply a sunblock. Do not forget to swipe a lip balm on your pout.
Prep & Prime-
It is better to use a primer if you want to make your makeup last longer but skip it if you are short on time. Apply a BB cream or foundation as per your preference. Use products that blend quickly.
Conceal the areas you need. Use a brightening concealer under your eyes as it will make your eyes look bright and awake. Brightening concealers are usually not highly pigmented and so you can use them to highlight your face quickly. Just dab a little above your cheekbones, on the brow bone and on the bridge of nose.
Groom Your Brows
Quickly fill in your brows with a shade that is one tone lighter than your natural hair color. Concentrate on the upper portion and the arch of brow as it gives a lifted look to face.
Fix the Wide Awake Eye-
Now is the time to make your eyes look all shiny. Take a shimmery eye shadow that is close to your skin tone and apply it all over your lids. This is just one eye shadow that you need to open up your eyes. If you don’t have even this much of time, just apply a shimmery gold or champagne eye shadow/eye-pencil on the inner corners of eye to get rid of any dullness.
Line your eyelids with a black or dark brown eyeliner. Use a white or flesh tone eye pencil to line your waterline. You can leave your lower lid blank or apply a hint of black/brown kohl pencil and smudge.
Do not skip mascara if you want bigger and open eyes. Obviously you can curl the lashes too if time is on your side.
Natural Flush on Cheeks-
Wear a blush that looks most natural on your skin tone. Baby pinks for fair skin, peach for medium and earthy shades for dusky skin. If you are confused, pick an apricot blush as it suits almost every skin tone. Apply it on the apples of your cheeks and blend well.
Eye popping lips-
Make your lips pop as the rest of the makeup is quite subtle. Every skin tone has a pink that works best for them. Make use of it when you are in a hurry. You can also use reds or oranges as per your preference. Wearing nude lips is not the best way to look awake especially when there is not much going on your face. But if this is what works for you, go for it.
