Stunning Berry Lipsticks For Medium Skin Tone
Today we will be talking about a super trendy and super chic lipstick shade- Berry. The seasons of bold lips have started and will continue to rule till the winters. This is the time to play with vivacious and bright colors. This is the time of the year when you can happily sport all your favorite dark shades of lipsticks to parties, especially berry colored lipsticks.
Berry and plum lipsticks look great when worn in a matte finish with the rest of your makeup minimal. I also feel that berry lips look best on medium skin toned beauties.
So today, we will be listing 5 Berry lipsticks for medium skin tone…
REBEL is bright plum berry shade and has slight glossy sheen to it. It will instantly brighten up your face. It comes from SATIN finish; very pigmented and hardly needs any layering. It has soft sheen to it but not slippery feel like MAC Amplified cream or matte look like MAC MATTE, a cross between two and my favorite finish. It layers opaque in single swipe, and manages to stay 4 – 5 hrs on my lips leaving behind an equally beautiful stain.
Plummy berry shade. It’s a great buy and along with is smooth texture, pigmentation and glossiness it feels nice and light on my lips. If you think winter is a cold season, then heat it up with one of these babies. It is a highly pigmented lipstick and you can get full coverage with a single swipe. It is moisturizing with a glossy finish and lasts for a good amount of time. Creamy texture, glides on smoothly and color doesn’t settle into fine lines.
Fashion Revival is described by MAC as a matte berry shade. Creamy in texture that glides super smoothly on lips without tugging or pulling. The lipstick turns true matte within few minutes of application which is good during summer but during winter it is bit drying. So, exfoliate lips prior to use…!!! The lipstick is quite pigmented and it stays pretty 5-6 hours with slight fading if you are having meals in between.
It’s a true berry shade and not that kind of berry which makes you looks old. It’s heavily pigmented and stays for four hours easily.
Rashmi says, “It is a cool toned berry shade with super fine purple fuchsia shimmer. It is soft and creamy and is little sheer and needs to be layered 4 – 5 times to get opaque coverage. It is not a con as the lipstick itself is build-able but doesn’t feel heavy on lips even if you layer it. It does have micro shimmer but it is not at all frosty and manages to stay for 4 – 5 hrs on my lips leaving a stain behind and teeny tiny shimmer but they don’t feel gritty as they are super fine in nature.”
* If you want to soften the hardness choose a plum/berry lip balm instead of a lipstick. For those women who are not comfortable with the intensity of a berry/plum shaded lipstick can go with a milder pink berry shade.
