Brown Lipsticks To Flaunt This Fall
There was a time when brown lipsticks used to scare me. I felt that it added decades of years to my age and made me look dull. I never thought that I would be that girl who would wear brown lipsticks. But gone are those days. . With time I have realized that when it is the right shade of brown, it can look beautiful too.
So today I’ll be sharing some gorgeous brown lip shades which you can flaunt on your lips in the fall. Time to go sexy brown this season.
MAC Paramount is described as “Reddish Brown” and is from their permanent line; the shade is warm toned chocolate brown shade with red tones to it and is apt for that 90’s brown trend. It looks very flattering on all skin tone; you just need some courage to sport this. Incredibly pigmented, this lipstick is from SATIN finish which may be little drying if you have already dry lips, there is no shimmer in it but just a slight sheen like all SATIN Finish lipsticks and it glides nicely on well exfoliated lips. You can get 5 plus hours of wear this shade and after that there is slight tint left behind.
It is a dark chocolaty brown shade. I find the shade bold and sultry at the same time. The texture of this lipstick is creamy and it glides on smoothly onto the lips. Unlike the range in which it falls that is matte; the finish it gives is creamy and shiny. There is no need of conditioning lips with a balm prior to this lipstick as it is extremely moisturizing. The pigmentation of this lipstick is very good as two swipes give the final shade and stays for 5 hours leaving a tint behind.
Caramel custard is a medium toned brown. It looks like terracotta. This can also be a nice nude for dusky beauties as it will not wash out the skin color. The texture is creamy but sets to a semi matte finish. One swipe deposits full color on the lips. It covers lip pigmentation nicely. The lipstick is shimmer free and soft in texture although not highly moisturizing.
Spice is the lightest brown out of the three browns from this collection. This shade looks beautiful on my skin tone but in order full opacity I had to swipe it twice. I would have loved the shade even more if it was sans any shimmer. Matte lipstick with shimmers does not make any sense to me. Since this is not a very deep brown, the shade will look good on medium to fair skin tones as well.
Just like its name, it is an exact Cinnamon shade, a complete treat for brown shade lovers. The lippy has cinnamon bark’s shade, neither too dark nor too light and has a soft, creamy texture. It has decent color pay off and not more than two swipes are required. It stays for some 5-6 hours with light meals in between, though heavy and oily foods might not let the lippy survive for long. The texture of this lippy is too very creamy and soft… infact prone to melting in high temperatures. The color pay off is decent enough. Not more than two swipes is required for even application.
It is a warm slightly dark brown color with orange undertones almost like a terracotta color. It has a creamy-glossy finish. Two swipes of this lippy will cover pigmented lips very well.
It is a warm pinkish brown colored lippy. This shade will suit almost everyone and is a good everyday wear shade. The texture is creamy and despite being creamy it stays for long- 4 hours without meals.
This lippy has a perfect blend of brown and pink hues. It is perfect for lovers of browns and rosy pinks and gives a taste of two in one. It has decent color pay off and goes opaque in single swipe. It has a creamy & smooth texture and keeps lips hydrated for long duration and feels light on lips.
It is a pure brown shade. People who are not much into vibrant bold shades and like to keep their look minimal will like this shade. The texture of this lippy is creamy and moisturizing. It gives apt color in a single swipe and two swipes will give even application. It does not settle in fine lines and is a great shade for makeup lovers.
This lippy is brown in color with orange undertones. The lippy does not have any shimmer and the pigmentation of this lipstick is great and even a single swipe gives good color the intensity of the color is buildable. The lipstick has a buttery smooth texture that glides easily on the lips. The lippy is creamy hence never dry outs lips. It stays for some 2.5 hours without meals but for the price it is not exactly a con.
So these are my favorites. Which one are you choosing for the coming winters?
