Healthy Hair Pack Recipes For Frizzy Hair
I have terribly frizzy hair. I mean often when I look in the mirror, I look no less than a lion. And with the approaching fall and winter, by hair becomes frizzier.
DIY packs for hair and skin are very popular among the women worldwide and due to their natural ingredients they are always preferred over chemical products available in the market.
So, today I’ll be sharing 5 DIY hair mask recipes that can help you get rid of dry, frizzy hair and give you silky, smooth, lustrous tresses. These are easy than you think and can be made with items found in your kitchen cupboard or nearby store.
- Olive/Almond oil
Blend all the ingredients together. Apply on scalp and hair length, tie your hair in a bun and cover it with a shower cap. Keep the pack for 30 minutes and then wash off.
A rich source of potassium, vitamin C and Vitamin B, Banana protects our hair from damages. Banana hair mask is quiet beneficial for those who travel outside and are exposed to dirt, pollution and various environmental toxins every day. The pack also prevents split ends and is excellent in curing dandruff and of course moisturizing your scalp and making your hair soft.
Olive oil and honey mask
Take olive oil and honey at 3:2 ratio in a bowl and mix thoroughly. Apply the pack throughout the hair and cover them up with a shower cap. Leave it for 15-20 minutes. Rinse.
Olive oil and honey are a great way to boost the shine and moisture level of hair. One just needs two ingredients and half an hour of time to get back the lost shine.
For smooth and shinny, damage free hair
- lemon juice
- almond oil
- Peppermint essential oil
Take one whole avocado, remove the seed, peel the skin and puree it. Then add 2 spoons lemon juice, 1 spoon almond oil and finally 4-5 drops of peppermint essential oil. Mix all together nicely with water as required to get a semi paste like consistency. You can add curd too. Apply all over hair and roots liberally and keep for 45 minutes to 60 minutes. Then wash off with a mild shampoo.
Avocado and almond oil help in repairing dry, frizzy hair.
Mayonnaise and Egg mask
Mayonnaise has eggs and oil which gives shine to hair, make them strong and add extra protective layer of moisture. It can be used as many times as one want as it is free from any kind of chemical. Take mayonnaise in a bowl and add one egg in it. I don’t mind adding egg yolk also. If you can’t tolerate the smell then add few drops of essential oil in it. Mix both the ingredients and apply it on your hair. Cover your scalp too with the mixture and wear a shower cap .Leave it for half an hour and rinse off with lukewarm water.
Coconut Oil and Olive Oil Mask
Coconut and Olive oil, both of them are really light and moisturizing for the hair. This mask will suit people of every hair type and condition. To have shiny hair, mix 2 teaspoons of olive oil and 2 teaspoons of coconut oil and warm them up slightly. Then apply it on your hair evenly, spreading it all over from roots to the lengths. Leave it for an hour and a half and do something else between. Then wash your hair off with lukewarm water, make sure you use a mild shampoo.
