DIY Hydrating Hair Masks To Try This Winter
With winters already at the doorstep, hair care often gets a backseat. We are too scared to wash our hair; putting some effort on hair care is too very difficult. But I have got some DIY hair masks for your hair which would ensure your hair stay like the way they are. All these masks are easily usable in winters and do not make you go an extra mile away to do some hard work. All these masks are made from household material and do not have anything to make you go out in the chilly weather.
Do try these masks as I am sure you would definitely like them. These can be used in summers as well but they are definitely required in winters.
Mask 1 – Coconut Oil
This is the most basic mask you could try and do and it has pretty useful results. It has been tried and tested since ages and all our mothers, grandmothers vouch for it. All you need is a microwave to heat the coconut oil. Heat the oil for 10 seconds until it melts and is usable. Now apply it on your hair roots and scalp using cotton. Now give yourself a hot towel and keep the oil on your head for good 15-20 minutes. Now wash your hair using shampoo and conditioner.
Mask 2 – Olive Oil and Honey
Olive oil is always a boon be it your skin or hair. Use olive oil in appropriate quantity, like for my middle length hair, I would need 6tablespoons of olive oil to be mixed with 3-4 tablespoons of honey.
So basically the idea is to use the oils in 3:2 ratio. Apply this mask for 15-30 minutes on your hair and cover it with a shower cap. Rinse with warm water, shampoo and conditioner to have shiny and voluminous hair.
Mask 3 – Milk and Honey
Take half or full cup of milk depending on the length of your hair and mix 1 tablespoon or 2 tablespoon of honey to it. Let it be on your hair for around an hour and then rinse off with your shampoo.
You would surely love the new shine and luster on your hair along with the new found softness. It is advised to be done twice during the week if you have extremely dry hair.
Mask 4 – Mayonnaise
Apply mayonnaise usually available with us all the time on your hair, making partings and sections in your hair. Cover all the dry part of your hair and leave it on for 15-20 minutes before you could rinse it off using your regular shampoo. You may add some essential oil in mayonnaise before you apply just to avoid the foul smell.
Mask 5 – Yoghurt and Vinegar
If you have a problem of excessive oil in your hair, a greasiness that irks you to the core, you would surely approve of this pack. All you need is ½ cup yoghurt and 1 teaspoon each of vinegar and honey. Mix all the three together and apply on your hair. Keep it on your hair for 15 minutes and then rinse it off.
Use warm water to remove the pack as this would lead to hydration as well which would help you get rid of oiliness even better.
Hope you like these masks. Do share it with your world outside Wiseshe.
