How To Nail Deepika’s Tamasha Promotion Eye Makeup
I am waiting eagerly for Tamasha to release considering it has my second favorite Bollywood onscreen couple after Shahrukh and Kajol. Deepika is promoting the movie along Ranbir Kapoor. I am glad that I am getting to see her lot due to this. She has turned out in many flawless looks. For most of her appearance, Deepika stuck with her tried and tested look that is winged eyeliner and nude lips. That’s not all though. A new look that she has been loving recently is something that not many of us expected.
She sported this look at an awards night and I already shared it with you guys in her Deepika’s beauty transformation. Most of us were surprised on seeing her in this bold look. She had heavy smokey eyes that were kohl rimmed. She gave us rocker chick vibes with this bold look. Even I was not sure of that look but she definitely loved it. Deepika made quite a few appearances in similar looks- Sleek centre parted hair were also constant.
Such heavy eyes are not everyone’s cup of tea and I was sure that I will never be able to pull it off.
That was till I came across a look of hers that is from her appearance on Comedy Nights with Kapil. She had smokey eyes again but they were brown for a change and I loved it for sure. Take a minute to admire-
This look is quite wearable even if you are not that big on bold looks. I am going to wear it for sure! I took a close look on her makeup and decided to break it down for you.
I would suggest doing your eyes first and then move on to the rest of your face. Apply a eye primer on your eyelids first. If you have a tinted eye primer then it would be better as it would bring out the brown better. You can also apply concealer over primer to get a neutral canvas.
Take a brown gel eyeliner and apply it on your lids. Go up to the crease but not beyond. You can use a brown kohl pencil as a base too. Smudge and smoke it out.
Top it up with a matte brown eyeshadow like MAC Espresso. This again should not go beyond your crease. Blend really well. Now take a lighter shade of brown like MAC Folie or Soft Brown and apply it in your crease extending a little towards brow bone.
Deepika’s eyes are matte but if you want to highlight your brow bone, use a matte eyeshadow either in of white or gold. Use the highlighting eye shadow sparingly.
Tight line your upper and lower waterline with a black kohl pencil. Apply thick lines of black eyeliner on upper and lower lash lines. Smudge the lower lash line a little.
You can wear false eyelashes but if you are not into them, just curl your lashes. Apply many coats of a volumizing mascara.
Shape and fill your brows with an eyebrow pencil that is one shade lighter than your natural brow color. Eyebrow kits or even eye shadows come handy for the purpose as well.
Just like Deepika, apply a matte foundation. Lakme Absolute Face Stylist Foundation is a very good choice. Oily skinned girls will need a powder to stay matte for longer. Conceal wherever you need concentrating on the area under eyes.
Bronzer and Blush
Swipe a bronzer in the hollows of your cheeks. I don’t see any other contouring on her face. A peachy-brown blush such as Mac Matte Powder Blush in Coppertone will add the right amount of flush on your cheeks. Blend the blush and bronzer nicely to avoid any harsh lines.
The lips are matte neutral brown with a slight hint of peach. Chambor Powder Matte Lipstick in Peach Puff, Lakme 9 to 5 Lipstick Toffee Nexus, MAC Mocha and MAC Taupe are some of the shades that will look similar to what Deepika is wearing.
I really enjoyed decoding this look but its only my version. I would love to know your suggestions on how to recreate this look.
