You can get an itchy scalp due to a variety of reasons such as dandruff, excessive dirt from air, excessive sweating, fungal infections, etc. We take a look at the various ways in which you can treat an itchy scalp.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is one of the most effective method to treat an itchy scalp. It contains powerful antibacterial, antifungal & anti-inflammatory properties that prevent all the bacterial, fungal and viral activities on your scalp. It also balances the pH levels of the scalp & acts as a natural clarifier. Take ½ a cup of apple cider vinegar and add half a cup of water to this. You can use a spray bottle for spraying the contents on the scalp and the hair. Cover your head with a shower cap and allow to saturate for at least fifteen minutes before washing it off.

Tea tree oil has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties that help treat scalp problems. It unclogs sebum blocking the hair follicles and also removes the excess oil and other dirt particles to make your hair shiny and healthy. Dilute tea tree oil with some olive or sweet almond oil or water and massage on your scalp. Cover all area of your scalp and leave it on for fifteen minutes.
