Trending ‘Hun’ Hairstyles
I guess all of you have noticed the half bun hairstyle that is trending amongst the Hollywood and Bollywood stars these days. It is a celebrity street style hairstyle and celebrities such as Margot Robbie, Sienna Miller, Deepika Padukone, Amanda Peet, Hilary Duff, Sonam Kapoor, Jennifer Lopez have been seen sporting the look. The first time I saw it, was most probably on Jennifer Lopez.
I liked her undone ballerina bun and left open slightly messy straight hair which really complemented her chiselled look. But the very first thing that came into my mind was, “Okay, my lazy, bed style hairstyle is on T.V”. Yes, this hun aka the half bun hairstyle is a lazy girl’s dream hairstyle.
It all started from our good old Disney days. Princess Belle, the Beauty and Beast princess, flaunted this elegant hairdo. Many of the A-list stars are rocking this look from Kate Mara to Margot Robbie and the half bun could simply be here to stay.It is super easy to do and carry. Long, medium, short; Maggie curly, wavy or pin straight, no matter what type of hair you have, it will still work for you, and that too beautifully. But you know the best part? It looks superb on ‘dirty’, messy hair.
It is an awesome hairstyle that you can flaunt in summers. It keeps hair off your face. This hairstyle is easy to do and definitely fuss free. It is beautiful, elegant and oh so princess like.
Straight from the streets. It is messy and it is sassy. So let us see how you can nail it.
Pull back the front sections of your hair away from your face (just the way you would do in half up and half down hairstyle) and tie it in a ponytail. Now roll the pony into a bun and pin it. Let the rest of your hair open. With half of your hair down, you can show off its length and your precious highlights. You can keep the part straight or can even add a few waves if you feel like it. With the front portion being pulled away from face, you will feel cooler and you won’t be constantly tucking your hair behind you ears or flicking it back. Best part? No sweaty strands getting stuck to your forehead
For the bun you can choose to go for a clean and neat bun, a ballerina bun, a messy bun or an elegant pin up bun.Just look at Hilary Duff and Kate Middleton. Both are flaunting the much talked about hun hairstyles. The Duchess of Cambridge is working magic with the look by tying it in a simple, elegant pinned up bun. She is looking so elegant.
Whereas, Hilary Duff sported a super high bun with rest of her hair left open. Ombre is really working its magic on her. So it totally depends on you, as in how you would like your hun hairstyle to be. In any ways, it is totally sassy.
So it is time to embrace the half bun. Have you sported this look before? I have…
