Yogurt is full of nutrients and no one is unaware of it. But there are certain other properties of yogurt that are very beneficial for your skin and you should try it for sure. Specially if you are looking to whiten your skin, you should try this. It is rich in various nutrients which can benefit the skin a lot.
I recently shared a post on AHAs or Alpha Hydroxy Acids if you can recall. Therein I mentioned lactic acid which is present in curd or yogurt which is very good for dissolving dead skin cells. Exfoliating your skin with yogurt always helps in renewing the skin cells and making it glow without any intrusion.
All you need to ensure is that you use plain yogurt whenever you do. It should be free of any kind of additives as it would take away the nutrients of the yogurt. It should be high in level of fat; if you use home based yogurt, ensure it is creamy so that it does not tussle with your skin at any point of time.
Yogurt has the essential agents to take care of every aspect of your skin. Skin brightening, skin tightening; moisturizing etc. is all taken care by it. Regular use of yogurt would take care of blemishes, acne and any other breakout forms. It would also add up to your sunscreen and help you achieve your whitening goals easily. Sun tan is very well taken care by yogurt which is not known to many. While I was a kid, my granny used to mask me with curd and then make me take a bath. It is the impact of modern cosmetics that we do not rely on traditional methods of skin care.
I am sharing a yogurt mask here with you which you can definitely try and use and make yourself feel the wonders of the natural product all by yourself. Take 1 to 2 teaspoons of plain fresh yogurt and add a few drops like about 4-5 drops of lemon juice or orange juice into it. Apply it on your face and leave it on for some time. Once it dries up, remove it off. Lemon juice or orange juice is citric in nature so it would work wonder in making your skin flawless.
In the meanwhile it would also take care of blackheads, sun-tan, clogged pores and also moisturize your skin to a great extent. Regular use would add up to your skin’s beauty manifold.
If you have a lot of blackheads or whiteheads, you could mix curd with rice powder and apply as a mask. Scrub it along circular motions and this would act as a thick scrub that would make your blackheads and whiteheads disappear gradually. Rinse it off with cold water.
If you keep applying plain yogurt, you would also get a huge reduction in the occurrence of pimples on your face and you would actually feel the difference with applying the yogurt for 30 minutes. Repeat this twice a week to reap maximum benefits.
So you see how natural things could help us improve and how we can make our skin improve and take care of all the problems we face using a simple available at home ingredients.
