I am a girl who shyly of wearing true nude lip colors. Maybe it’s a combination of being fair to medium skinned with brown hair. I feel like a nude lip makes me look dull without having right amount of makeup. I’ve tried it with smokey eye makeup and it work to an extent for me.Nevertheless,by the time I feel ‘Mauve is a new nude’ at least for people like me. I like that it’s a neutral but has a hint of pink! I find that a neutral mauve shade is a must-have for an everyday lip color. If you are interested in exploring lip colors in this winters ,then grab some for sure according to your choice. Now, I am summing up some gorgeous mauve shades for every kind of skin tones. Pick your HG wisely Ladies!
006 Mauve Dusk is a very beautiful muted mauve-wine shade which will flatter all Indian skin tones. The pigmentation is fabulous, just a single swipe and it goes opaque on my lips. It is one of its own kinds of mauve shade which is not very vampy and can be easily carried without many efforts.
The texture & finish of this is quite unique and not exactly like that of a stain. It has a lip crème kind of texture and later sets to an absolute matte finish. It sets to a powder matte finish and leaves no strong stain behind. To my interpretation it does not exactly work as a lip stain, but rather is a non – transferable lip crème that sets to powder matte finish.
It settles into fine lines and may accentuate flaky lips, so ensure to exfoliate lips before using it.
Texture: The lipstick has a very soft, creamy and smooth texture. This lipstick is effortless to apply. And it is not frosty at all, which I love. Just a bit of glossy finish that looks great for such a shade.
Shade: It is a gorgeous mauve color with hints of pink in it. I quite like this shade and loves the way how it goes with my skin tone.
Pigmentation: This shade is not insanely pigmented, it has a semi sheer coverage but the color can be built up with multiple swipes so that is not a problem. Just 2-3 swipes and you have lovely mauve color on lips with opaque coverage.
I love wearing the color as a lighter version of the mauve. As I am sure dark mauve does not suit me. The lipstick has a metallic finish to it which is the current trend. But I dab it with a tissue to make it more matteas I prefer matte finishes. But, you can flaunt it with the metallic finish and wear an ultimate Goth lip.
Texture: Faces Go Chic Lipstick in Express Mauve is a very smooth lipstick. Applies evenly and does not look patchy. It has a creamy finish with a slight metallic shine. It is super hydrating on the lips and still, does not bleed.
Texture: The lipstick is insanely creamy in texture. Looks so comfortable on my lips. Does not dry the lips or emphasize any lines.
Pigmentation: Highly pigmented color in just one swipe. The color can be build up without looking cakey.
Staying Power: Stays put for 4-5 hours and leaves behind a pretty bright stain.
These highly pigmented and moisturizing lipsticks do not dry out my lips. They just slide on. Is it a flaw that these lipsticks are very creamy? They do not stay on for as long as the recently launched Maybelline Jewel Colorsensational lipsticks because of the texture.
It comes in a metallic tube packaging with a purple ring in between the cap and the base of the lipstick. I personally wish they would have kept the colour of the ring similar to the shade of the lipstick so that I wouldn’t have to remember the name of the shade or keep opening the cap to identify the contents.
The L’Oreal Rouge Caresse comes in a simple silvermetallic packaging much a like to their Infallible Range. The shade number and name is imprinted at the bottom. Each of them comes with a metallic color coded label on top of the cap. The cap shuts just perfectly and won’t come inside the bag.
Rock N Mauve color actually light purple shade which has strong pink undertones, The Color looks scary dark purple in the tube which often people shy away of looking old or aged. I think Purple is an amazing lipstick color which actually looks so best on Indian skin tones.
Oh my! How beautiful are the packaging of these matte lip colors. The first time when I laid my eyes on them, I was simply smitten by the casing alone. And I went ahead and got a couple of them. Each individual lip color comes packed in a gorgeous shiny rose gold tube with the Lakme logo printed on it in pale pink. A sticker is labeled at the bottom for color identification. It has a sturdy body making it travel friendly.
Color: Coming to the color, M1 Rose Management is a deep rosy mauve shade with slightly chrome finish to it. It looks deep on the tube but when swiped, it appears as a lighter color. I don’t usually wear it on a daily basis but mostly on light occasions or with an ethnic wear.
Packaging: Nothing fancy. The lipstick comes in a simple purple color casing. The cap closes with a reassuring click. Shade name number written at base. Simple and no fuss packaging.
Shade: It’s a very soft blue based pinkish mauve color jam-packed with silver shimmers but to my amazement, it is very natural looking. The shimmers don’t show up on lips and gives a glossy beautiful sheen. At first I was very apprehensive about this lipstick because neither do I like “Mauve” nor “Crystals (shimmers)”. But this looks pretty nice. I love how it can be paired with perfectly done smoky eyes and even with just a dash of kohl. A beautiful wearable shade.
First of all let us talk about its packaging. It comes in a very sleek silver metallic case with transparent cap and the L’Oreal logo in the middle. It looks very classy and looks similar to those high end lipstick’s packaging. The cap of the lipstick is click-lock system so there is no issue to carry it in your bag, hence travel friendly.
The lipstick bullet is flat from the top, not like those pointed ones in regular lipsticks. The shade “Mauve Cherie” is a medium mauve pink shade with lavender undertones that would suit fair to medium skin tones really well. Its a right shade of mauve and pink on me in natural light.
Coverage & Pigmentation: Coverage with this lippy is nil thanks to the lustre finish. If you hope to cover some imperfections on your lips you’d have to leav ethat thought waay behind!
Texture: Like all MAC Lustre finishes, this one is also pretty sheer and glossy…During the these months when my lips dry and shrivel, I find this finish one of the best since instead of accentuating the dryness like a matte lippy would do, this makes my lips looks better than they actually do.
