I am here today to discuss 10 times we wished that we dressed like this on our D-Day. Confused? Well, it means that I am here to discuss with you wedding looks of the Bollywood divas whom we loved in their wedding ensembles. I am actually an enthusiast when it comes to dressing on weddings. I believe one should dress up really well as it not only is a special day but a lifetime of memories. Every time you go back to your pictures you should feel good about the memories you had.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
If you are in love with Kanjeevarams, you sure would have loved her yellow golden saree that was a part of all live telecasts during her wedding on the news channels. You sure cannot ignore her totally ethnic look. The braided hairstyle all laced with flowers made her look so gorgeous that the look is almost untouched till now when it has been almost 10 years!
She is the coolest bride who chose to wear an onion pink lehenga, her jewelry and a pair of shades on her D-day! Can you beat that! She looked so cool and giggling in her beautiful JJ Vallaya ensemble. She wore a complete Punjabi jewel set with chooda, maang tika and also wore kaleere.
Kareena Kapoor Khan
Mommy to be Kareena wore her mother-in-law’s gharara which was nothing less than a Queen’s torsoe. The look of it made you feel that it was definitely heavy. It was understandable to see her switch to lighter clothes a little later. Anyone would have done that ; but it was definitely a superb ensemble and also the following ones that she later changed into.
Shilpa Shetty Kundra
The diva dressed in a Manglorean style outfit which included a red saree style lehenga embellished with Swaroski crystals. She wore heavy kundan jewelry and looked million bucks with her braided and flower –decked hairstyle.
Genelia dressed as a perfect Maharashtrian bride and her attire is still being talked about. Being a Christian, she never let it appear on anyone’s mind with her vivacious persona and her appearance.
The world came at a halt to see the heartthrob of the nation Shahid Kapoor marry a normal girl Mira Rajput who looked totally out of the world on the wedding day. Her pink lehenga was too good to be a visual treat. She wore simple makeup but looked a million bucks. The jewellery was all traditional yet modern.
She made for an expensive bride with her definitely too awesome lehenga which was perfectly red with emerald and diamond jewellery.
Dia Mirza broke all stereotypes associated with Indian weddings by wearing a dress which was not at all red or close to red. She wore a sharara designed by Ritu Kumar in beige and green color which looked just exquisite and awesome.
She chose to stay simple in her makeup but definitely made way for enough jewellery.
Asin clearly swept off the onlookers in her golden ensemble as a pretty petite bride. Her dress was equally traditional as was her mannerisms o the day. She wore equally elegant jewellery which made her look gorgeous.
Soha Ali Khan
Belonging to the Nawab khandaan, her marriage was expected to be royal and she did justice to her look in her orange and off-white attire for the day with equally awesome jewellery.
