Lip and cheek tints are really in these days with most of the makeup brands launching their own version of this product. These products not only are multipurpose but also add a really good but light colour to the cheeks and lips which attract people who love subtle colours. Recently, when I hopped into Colorbar store for some shopping, I picked these up and now I am here with the reviews. So scroll down!
What the company claims:
“A versatile and fun product that’s easy to use. A blush studied to give a natural finish and colour in just one stroke. Fast and blendable, thanks to a new fusion of texture and primary packaging that makes it easy to coat and adjust complexion’s overall tone. Professional and fun at the same time, this product glides on cheeks and cheekbones leaving a nice comfortable feeling. The finish is thin and delicately luminous, both in pearly and matte shades, to create a perfect look for any occasion. Fragrance free and Paraben free.”
How to use the product:
- Apply on cheeks and eyes directly, in the desired motion. Blend with fingers by tapping in smoothing motion for perfect blending
- Apply on the lips directly by putting a thick outline on the outer part and then later filling in the inner portion of the lips starting from the centre, using the product directly.
The Colorbar lip and cheek chubby sticks come in a retractable and short chubby stick form that is somewhat like Chubby Lip crayons but in a healthier version. The packaging is colour-coded which is really a good thing. You really don’t have to dig much when you are looking for the actual colour. The shade name and price is written at the base which is another pro for me. Overall, the packaging is really cute.
What I feel about the product:
The Colorbar lip and cheek sticks are really pigmented and you get a good colour payoff in the first swipe itself. Most of the colours will not be well suitable for all skin types which is a big miss. I feel most of the colours are specially made for very fair to fair skin tones. Medium complexion can have a bite here and there but no option for deeper and dusky skin tone which is a miss. In a country like India, you need to get some good colours to suit dusky skin tones. You need to dab something on your cheeks if you feel the colour is quite bright for you but when on the lips, they look really pretty. The texture is really smooth and application is no big hassle for it.
The colour are described (from left to right)
This is a pink based coral colour that will go with fair to medium skin tones.
This is a blue based barbie pink kind of colour which will suit fair skin tones.
Overall I will recommend this lip and cheek colour stick to only fair to medium skin tones. If you find your match, you can go for it.
