Welcome to another lipstick post and this is my favourite brand Maybelline. I can’t get enough of Maybelline products and they are always on a roll to launch new products every other day. Recently, they launched two line of matte lipsticks – creamy matte and powder matte and I, being a die-hard fan of creamy matte lipsticks was eyeing on the colours with an open mouth. And this colour stole my heart. Yes, I am talking about the Mac Whirl Dupe, Nude Nuance by Maybelline Colorsensational Matte Lip colour. Scroll down to know more!

Packaging: The Maybelline Colorsensational Matte Lip colour in the shade Nude Nuance comes in typical Maybelline bullet packaging. The lid is mauve-y in colour while the lower case is silver. The name of the shade is written at the base on a sticker which is a bit difficult to note when you are in a hurry. The bullet, though, is really sharp which helps to achieve very precise painted lips. Overall, for me, the packaging is a little boring and blah but just serves the need.
Texture: The texture of the lipstick is surely my reason to add it to my vanity. I love creamy matte shades and this one is just apt for the place. The shade is creamy matte with a very smooth texture. It glides on smoothly on the lips without any tugging or pulling giving a very even application. It is perfect for those who don’t like 100% matte lip shades.
Pigmentation: The shade is highly pigmented like other lipstick shades from this range. One or two swipes are enough to hide lip pigmentation and flaunt the colour of the lipstick.
Staying power: The staying power of this lipstick is extremely nice. It stays on for 6+ hours if layered twice and 3+ hours if wore as an opaque stain.
Shade: The shade Nude Nuance is a nude shade with hints of pink and brown in it. You can say this is a mauvy-browny nude shade for all complexions. It has a warmer undertone to it which will look stunning on all Indian skin tones. For dusky beauties, this can be a perfect MLBB shade and for fair to medium skin tones, this is the perfect nude for summers.
What I feel about the product:
The lipstick has an amazing texture with a very decent staying power. The shade is surely one of the best in their collection which is a bang on dupe for MAC Whirl. Whoa! This calls for another Dupe Alert. The packaging is a little boring but when you consider the product, the packaging receives a backseat. The staying power of this lippy is amazing. Just one thing bothers me a little, this makes my lips a little dry after a prolonged period of time so it will be recommended to prep and prime the lips before the application. But this doesn’t give any flaky look on the lips so you can wear it without a wink. This colour is seriously a stealer and I am in love with it.
What I like about the lipstick:
- Amazing colour of mauve-y brown nude
- Suitable for all Indian skin tones
- Affordable price range
- Creamy-matte texture
- Awesome staying power
- Doesn’t give flaky lips over time
- Great for pigmented lips
- A dupe of MAC Whirl.
What I dislike about this lipstick:
- Packaging is a blah!
- Can get a bit dry after a long period of time
- Prepping and priming lips is mandatory
Recommendation: Yes, totally. If you love nudes, if you want to buy a MAC dupe at an affordable price tag and if you love creamy mattes, this is for you!
